Easy to assemble, solid bed frame. Small double for sons room fits in really well, as base of frame low rise bed doesnt dominate the room. Did purchase in the Boxing Day sale, and would say really good value at the price I paid, but even at full price would say is good value. Frame in perfect condition, no scuffs or marks to note. Delivery was hassle free, friendly and helpful delivery guys offered to put bed in room of choice.

I choose to assemble the bed my self which was relatively easy to do. When beginning to assemble the bed I discovered that two of the fixing bolts had come out of the headboard and had to go through the packaging to find them. Once found, the bed was successfully assembled and has proved to look good and be comfortable. I would have given 5 stars if the fixing bolts had been in situ.

I've had a dreams bed before, and the slats kept coming out of their plastic holders, meaning the mattress had to come off, for them to be reinserted. Which is best to prevent this - sprubg or fixed slats?

Answer: Our sprung slats fit into plastic holders whereas the solid slats go from one end of the bed to the other. Therefore, solid slats are less like to move. However, the sprung slats should not be coming out of their holders- if this persists, it may be that the holders are faulty and the Customer Service Team can advise a next steps.

Is the Single bed constructed of Solid Pine or a different wood material? On one of the answers about this, it says Pine and MDF, on another answer, it says solid pinewood, as does the description. Please clarify if the entire bed is solid pine?

Answer: The bed is made from a mixture of solid pinewood and MDF. The headboard and footboard are mostly solid pinewood and some of the paneling is MDF. The side rails are MDF and the centre support rail and leg are solid pinewood. This is the same construction across all of the sizes.

Answer: Yes, this bed frame will require you to assemble it. If you would prefer not to assemble this yourself, you have the option of purchasing the assembly service at the checkout, the delivery team will then assemble your bed frame and take away any packaging.

Hi, would a king size mattress sit proud of the foot of the bed? My partner is 6'4 so can't have his feet restricted at the bottom of the bed. Thanks

Answer: If your mattress is deeper than 24cm, then it will sit either in line with or above the end of the bed. If your mattress is below 24cm, then there will be a lip between the mattress and the footboard, meaning your partners feet would be restricted.

Would a mattress rise above the foot end of this bed? I wanted to ensure before I purchased it that my tall son would be able to fully extend his legs without any barrier of the foot end? Does the foot end of this bed lie lower than the mattress?

Answer: Thank you for getting in touch. The charcoal paint finish is a matt glass with a slight shine. Additionally, both the slats are designed not to squeak but the sprung slats are in a metal frame so would be more sturdy.

Answer: All of the bed bases are tested to BS EN 1725, then they are tested against a user of approx. 110 kg on each side. (Domestic use only). Mattress weight and user weight should be distributed evenly.

Answer: For a child, it may be recommended to go for solid slats. The sprung slats are an upgrade to offer extra support. The leadtime is 6 weeks so will be delivered in the new year and assembly is 40.

Answer: Solid slats are shown in the picture - these are wooden slats that sit flat to the base. Sprung slats are wooden but have a slight curve to them to provide more comfort and support

Answer: Each slat is 150cm x 10cm. These tend to be firmer than the sprung as they are solid wood. With the solid slats there is a centre support beam and two support legs.

Answer: Unfortunately we do not offer drawers that are compatible with this bed frame. There is, however, space under the bed where you could store your own storage boxes.

Can the 4'6 Double take a 140x200 cms mattress? Also any minimum height of mattress required or any height would fit?

Answer: The double is built to take a mattress of 137 x 190 cm. a 140 x 200 is more of a King Size and is unlikely to fit. Any height mattress would also be ok.
