The Sutton Upholstered Ottoman Bed Frame is a frame i've had my eye on for a while now and for good reason what with the textured woven finish, dark shades and ottoman storage option, it's clear that this will be a fan favourite for years to come.

Starting with the visuals, the Sutton is available in two colour options of both grey and silver; whichever colour option you choose will look great in a modern room set but for me personally, I love the grey and find the darker colour looks slightly more modern.

Manufactured from a solid base, the ottoman storage is utilised really well in the Sutton, giving expansive storage space (29cm deep) that is far more useful than the 2 and 4 drawer divans typically seen at this price point. Ultimately you get more storage space for a reasonable price point in a good quality design and material that will reward you with somewhere to house all necessary bedding and sheets.

Reviews for the Sutton is good with over 370 reviews and a 96% consumer satisfaction it's clear there's a lot to be thankful for with this frame. Customers liked how sturdy the frame was with a few users commenting that the mattress feels a little firmer also as a result of the solid base. Others enjoyed how easy it was to build the bed, finding it coming in at under an hour with only the most minor of inconvenience, showing the clever design carries through the entire process from start to finish. We've still managed to find a few negative reviews however, all a bit of a mixed bag with a couple unhappy with the colour difference between photos and reality with reports that the grey is slightly browner. I've actually seen this ottoman in person and wouldn't personally agree, it looked grey enough to me at the time of review. Other negatives come in the form of build quality with people unhappy with the build quality surrounding the slat storage gaps. The negatives are few and far between and with no real concise grouping, it's fair to say that you will in all likelihood find joy with this type of base thanks to its great value and good looks.

Excellent experience. Helpful drivers who we paid for the service of building the bed also when purchasing the bed. A service I would recommend. They were so quick, respectful of my property, followed covid guidance, courteous and made sure we understood how the bed works after it was built. The bed itself is extremely good. The storage space is amazing. I have no other storage and this has been a fantastic space saver for our room. The lift up end is very convenient for moving bed around room if we wish to have a change about. It works on pistons so lifts slowly and closes slowly. I am a fit and able bodied person so I have no difficulty with lifting the ottoman up, however, perhaps for someone that isn't very strong or who can't lift their arms all the way up it may be too difficult to open and also to close as you do have to push down quite hard ( i believe a review should be helpful to others!) I personally would highly recommend this bed for someone who struggles with storage space. I like the fact the head board is included. The design is nice looking. It's sturdy unlike my previous bed (not bought from here) and is my best purchase this year.

Bed arrived in perfect condition. The delivery guys were amazing, the delivery driver Robert and his colleague Robson went out of their way to rejuggle their slots so that they could work around my timing constraints to deliver the bed to me. Upon arrival they were very courteous, took off their shoes upon entering my home and placed the four boxes where I had asked them to. The bed was well packaged, the instructions were easy to follow and all the tools I needed to make the bed were included in the tool kit which was really helpful. I made the bed myself in between school run and other errands so it took some time to put it together. The instructions even had a page for kids to colour to keep them occupied which was a nice touch! My young child was busy colouring in the page whilst I attended to the final steps in putting my bed together. The bed looks lovely and has a good storage space underneath. I am very pleased with the purchase. My husband really liked the style and the colour too. Modern and practical.

I've been in the market for a bed for a good long while and only recently had the funds available to make the purchase. I've been contemplating an ottoman bed or some other storage-type bed and finally decided to take the plunge on this beauty. Having had regular wooden-frame beds prior to this, it's an understatement to suggest that this bed is convenient. The storage space is substantial and helped solve a lot of my clutter issues in my bedroom. The hydraulics work amazingly well with little to no effort required to lift the base, even with a mattress on top. Also it doesn't have one of those grossly oversized headboards that I've seen a lot on other retailer websites. The padding on the headboard is comfortable too. All in all, a great bed which will fit into any room and allow you to make the most of your space. Also big props to the guys who put it together, super quick and cleared everything away.

I ordered this bed during the third lockdown period of the pandemic and as expected I had to assemble the frame myself. The delivery guys were as courteous and friendly as ever and apologised that they were able to assemble the frame for us but this was to be expected due to the restrictions etc. I have to say that the assembly was a piece of cake even for myself and Im no DIY expert but I managed it within an hour. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and all parts easy to identify so dont be put off by buying and then having to do the assembly yourself. Once it was completed and mattress in place I tried the ottoman lift, I expected it to be quite heavy to lift and was really pleased to find how easy it was to raise and lower it. This is a great bed and cant recommend it enough, great service from Dreams and their delivery guys and wont hesitate to buy again from them.

Extremely well made components (heavy) arrived in 4 packages. Very clear instructions and took two of us about an hour and a half to construct. The headboard is well padded and comfortable to rest on when reading in bed. The bed base is rock solid with no movement or creaks - it's going nowhere. The ottoman hinged mechanism is quite stiff to open and close initially but following the instructions, opening and closing it a couple of dozen times made it easier to operate. We have a reasonably heavy memory mattress and the ottoman remains securely open, needing quite a bit of weight to close it down - which is fine by us. The space beneath is huge and has allowed us to clear a whole cupboard full of spare bedding and travel cases that are only used infrequently. Overall, we have no negatives are extremely pleased with this bed.

Very easy to assemble with 2 people. Instructions and all equipment bar a tape measure (for measuring the screw lengths) are included, although I was missing two washers thankfully I had some on hand and they weren't anything majorly important. Base is quite low but my mattress adds height, however, there is plenty of space underneath for what I wanted to put under. The base floor isn't attached they are just wooden squares fitted together inside, on the floor. I didn't know what I was expecting but it seems to work well. I suppose if you didn't want the base you could just remove them but I think they also keep the frame from shifting around when you move. All in all good bed and seems very solid! I hope it withstands the test of time

Having an Ottoman bed frame previously from Dream, when it was time to get a newer, bigger bed frame I knew exactly what I wanted. I looked through the selection on the website, and this one was the one that won overall. I like the fact it's a solid base the mattress lies on instead of a wooden slat frame, it's actually more comfortable. The space underneath easily fits 8 x 42 litre storage boxes with gaps for moving things around. When putting it together, I do suggest at least 2 people, don't do this solo! However, the instructions were clear enough, it came with all the parts and labelled correctly. I do recommend this bed for anyone who wants a King Size Ottoman, it's sturdy, spacious and rather stylish too!

The bed arrived in several numbered flat pack boxes. The delivery persons re-confirmed that I had the correct boxes before they departed. The assembly of the bed is relatively easy. All parts were ticked off from the instruction listings. I was able to assemble parts of the bed outside (ample space is favourable for assembly) before moving into the bed room. The assembly instructions were clear. No issues during the assembly although I would recommend the assistance of a second person during the make up of the bed components. The bed appears to be robust and the ottoman feature has freed up a lot of storage space in the bed room. The bed also looks good in a minimalist/modern fashion.

This is a great bed. Given that my stairs have a tight corner (Id previously ordered a Divan that wouldnt fit up them), but I dont personally like slatted beds, this solves those issues, as its flat-packed but has a platform for the mattress to lie on. The storage space is great too and the mechanism works really well. My only slightly critique is that Dreams could offer more solutions to people with the two issues mentioned above. I believe it is only this and the Ealing that tick both of those boxes, and if I remember correctly the wait time on an Ealing was very king, as was the wait time on the lighter coloured Sutton.

Bought this bed as an atrractive underbed storage option. The bed itself is very sturdy and the storage is deceptively large. It has meant i dint even need an ectra chest of drawers. The piston opening system qlso feels very robust. The headboard is quite large so beware if you are taking this upstairs and have a steep stairwell and narrow door as I did. Quite a challenge getting it up the stairs. Upolstry padding isnt very deep but then at this price and with storage it probably isnt supposed to be. The material is great and feels durable. All in all very happy with it and was very easy to assemble.

This bed is fantastic. I wanted an ottoman bed and the storage capability is great. It has much more storage space than a divan with drawers. I decide to put the bed together myself as delivery was a couple of days before I needed it. Assembly instructions are easy to follow and requires 2 people. It is extremely heavy and has no castors so it is flat on the floor. Once assembled, it is pretty much impossible to move, therefore, my advice is to make sure it is where it is wanted before assembling the ottoman mechanism, i.e. up against the wall. Overall I'm very pleased and happy with this bed.

I had to wait two months for it but other than that, its all been smooth. I was given a two-hour time slot. The team arrived 15 minutes into that time slot. They were super friendly and also gave me a couple of top tips for when I came to assembling it. DIY is not my forte. I was tempted to try to assemble it on my own but Im very glad I decided not to do that. You definitely need two people to assemble. So far, so good! Bought with a SilentNight Newbury Mirapocket mattress and have literally just got into bed for my first night!

Surprised by the weight of this bed. This isn't a complaint as it feels far more sturdy than my old bed. Delivery men were really good and elade any fears I had about them possibly scuffing my recently painted stairwell walls. I'd have struggled to get this upstairs myself so a big thank you to them. The bed itself took me approx 2 hours to assemble. All relatively simple and very pleased with how it looks and performs. Old bed taken away with no issues. An all round good experience. Really nice, solid bed. Very heavy when assembled which is a sign of good quality - my last, cheaper divan bed used to move around quite a bit so its sturdiness is a welcome improvement! The ottoman feature makes it so much easier to access the storage inside, of which I now have far much more room. Really like the grey colour and the fact the bed is lower to the ground, therefore I technically now have more room! Dreams had an offer on the bed after Id originally purchased it but before delivery and they happily honoured the discount.

Received my bed with all the efficiency promised. Delivered on the day and nothing too much trouble for the delivery guys. Put the bed together and took the mattress away. Cleared up their mess and explained about the bed. Its perfect. Plenty of Storeage space and very easy and light to manoeuvre- which is the most important aspect as I have a back injury. We chose this after our old divan collapsed and have had it for two weeks now. It was quite straight forward to put together. Some pieces are quite heavy and a second pair of hands would make life a little easier when assembling especially when attaching the side rails as recommended in the instructions. It looks great in the room and were very happy with it. It would be nice if the MDF boards in the bottom of the ottoman were attached to the bed instead of just being placed in but they do the job and its great storage.

Ive owned this bed for a few weeks now and very pleased with the purchase. Nice colour, sturdy and comfortable head board. One of the main features I was sold on was the hydraulic lifting system to the underneath storage area, both of which have proven to be very useful. The assembly instructions estimate 1.5 hours which I found to be accurate with just me assembling. All the necessary tools and kit were supplied. If youre looking for a similar colour bed with storage then you cant really go wrong with this.

Bought this bed for our new flat, we needed something that looked good, fit with the room but also allowed us to have some storage space due to us having a smaller house than anticipated- but we didnt want a slatted ottoman so this was perfect for our needs. We built it ourselves and it took around 3 hours- you will need a strong pair of arms to hold things up whilst fitting but all together, we really love the quality bed. Would recommend to anyone wanting a comfy bed which allows for a lot of underbed storage

As a keen DIY enthusiast the bed was relatively straight forward to assemble. We love the integrated headboard (as do our guests) and as the base of the underbed storage actually sits on the carpet, there is no concerns about loading it up too much - as is the case with underbed drawers. Some of our guests mentioned that the mattress moves around a little on the bed boards and needs to be re-positioned occasionally - not a major issue but the bed would benefit from some side rails to stop this happening.

I originally went in store at crown point and they were really helpful finding a bed with storage and still felt sturdy as I'm not a fan of ottomans that are slat based. This bed is nice, the tall headrest feels very regal and there's plenty of storage space, in a way that allows me to have access to my stuff I use a lot at the end of the bed (Like hoodies i don't hang up etc.). It was simple to put together, and looks good. The use of the board instead of slats just gives me more security in the bed.

Love our bed. Looks great and is sturdy. Easy to assemble - you NEED 2 people. Instructions are ok, step 13 could be changed to put middle bar in a step sooner. The inside storage height is about 23cm, we have 6 x 32L storage boxes underneath, plus a suitcase. Lots of space, no middle frame. All boxes sit on boards, not on the bedroom floor. It has a new furniture smell, so air out as long as you can. A thank you to Tom Bedford too in customer services for a great response in our questions.

Fairly easy to assemble, but allow up to 2 hours and needs 2 people. The base panels are a little cheap looking and sit on the floor with no attachment to the bed frame itself. I understand that the weight of whatever is going under the bed would bow the panels if they did sit flush to the floor, but did feel they would benefit from attaching to the frame so that if the bed is moved there would be little chance of damaging them. There is a lot of storage space, and it does look really good.

Prior to ordering my ottoman bed frame I had been to quite a few different shops to look at ottomans, but none met my requirements as the Sutton bed frame did. I need to maximise space and storage in my bedroom and I felt too many other bed frames elsewhere were restrictive on space, or the mattress went too low into the frame (and thus reduced storage), or they were really difficult to lift up. The Sutton has loads of room, doesnt go too low and is really comfortable to grip and lift.

Excellent amount of storage, seems strong and sturdy. My only complaint is that it's not on wheels or castors and is almost impossible to move. The bottom panels, inside, are simply laid on the floor, which is why there are no wheels presumable. I have it up against a wall so it's a bit of a pain to pull out when changing sheets. Having said that, it's easy to use in terms of lifting the top up and down and lots of storage room which is always useful.

The bed itself is great for the price and had the deepest depth compared to similar ottoman products across the market - even a certain well know department store couldn't compete on the space this product provides. We had a long wait (post pandemic/Brexit we think) for the bed but it was totally worth it. Our daughter is very pleased with the bedframe. This bed was fairly easy to out together but definitely a 2 person job. Its sturdy with no creaks or anything and the fabric feels very robust. The ottomom at first is quite stiff and takes a bit of muscle to open and close but after some use its loosened up. I will say the only downfall of this bed is theres nothing for the mattress to sit in so i have sent it off the bed a few times but otherwise its a great bed!

Wasnt too sure about an ottoman bed having always had drawers for storage. I am now definitely a convert. Theres so much space underneath and its so easy to access. I was a bit worried it would be too heavy to lift but even with a king sized mattress its easy. Great product. The only thing that I would change is a small lip around the bed frame to stop the mattress moving around. Other than that - perfect!

Excellent value for money and very happy with our purchase. Much easier to assemble than the IKEA Malm ottoman bed we bought our daughter 6 months ago The assembly instructions are easy to follow. The bed base and headboard were very easy to put together by 1 person but do need 2 strong adults to assemble the ottoman metal lifting mechanism and screw the heavy boards that the mattress sits on into place.

We ordered a king size so a big piece of kit! Definitely needed two of us to assemble. Good instructions though so just time consuming as you would expect. Only down side with this bed is that the storage part of the bed actually sits on the floor, there are four boards to lay on the floor inside the storage compartment. So basically impossible to move once in position. Otherwise Im happy with it.

Great bed frame, everything looks brilliant and works perfectly. It's reasonably easy to assemble with two people and is very comfortable. We got the frame in king size and it's perfect. The only negative I have is that the boards to go on the floor under the ottoman part don't fit well (they are too big and overlap/look weird) and look a bit rubbish but this isnt seen so isn't a massive deal.

The bed was delivered well packaged and on time, with a call on the morning of the delivery to confirm the one hour time slot. Very nice bed and very easy to put together, the hardest part was lifting the boxes up the stairs, its a very comfortable bed and has some style to it as well. Fantastic price (we got it in the spring sale) the only issue is some of the screw holes didnt line up as good as they should have. Instructions could have been a little clearer but anyone with common sense should figure it out.

Very pleased with the service, delivery and assembly of our new bed. Been a few weeks now and all seems good. If I have one criticism; it is that the description is not very clear when ordering that the base of the ottoman is not actually attached to the bed. Rather it just lays on the floor. This does not really allow you to move the bed for any reason (cleaning, moving house)

The bed was really easy to build, i was able to build most of it by myself but i do suggest having two people from the get go and to have your own screwdriver set to make it easier. Looks great, the pictures do not lie in the photos they are using but i also used the photos in the reviews that i saw on this bed. The storage is great and has really helped tidy up the clutter.

The fabric is high quality and the space under the storage is so spacious you can fit loads underneath. It is very easy to move around as the boards at the bottom of the under bed storage are 4 separate boards with the aim to protect the floor and not make moving the bed cumbersome. Really nice, classy looking bed. Lost one star because the base of the storage area is just 4 tiles layed straight onto the floor with no fixings to the frame, which meant we had to keep pushing them back into place as we went. Even then the bed isnt taut enough around them to actually hold them in place if you were to lift the bedframe at all. Overall were happy though!

Fairly straight firward to assemble. Placibg tge top boards in position is a bit tricky. We used a torch underneath ti locate the slots. Apart from that it was okay. The frame is well made and seems very sturdy. We had a bit of a delay due to a duplicate pack 3 being delivered instead of a pack 1. However, customer services dealt with this well.

Working with a very small bedroom with no space for Chester draws, this bed has given me an incredible amount of storage to store my clothes and even other ends and odds which I couldn't place anywhere else like my suitcases. Due to the pendemic, had to self assembly, took 2hours to do it solo which wasn't bad. All in all a wonderful item.

Be aware that the corners of the base are not rounded (ie like they are on a mattress) so you are likely to hit your legs on them if the bed doesnt have a full quilt or duvet on. Once the bed is fully dressed though you should be fine! The installation was incredibly quick and timely (only 30mins!) and the storage is just what I wanted.

The bed is really good quality, fits lovely in my small room to create more space for my son. The solid base and the ottoman part is completely enclosed means everything in it stays dust free. Amazing space saver with plenty of room for cases, boxes, towels and anything you could really want to put under there. Easy to set up and only took us an hour and a half. It looks exactly as it does in the pictures and if you like the design you would not be dissapointed. Having had this I would never not have an Ottoman bed again.

Very pleased with purchase. Colour is just right. Delivered at door and had to assemble myself because of Covid. States 1.5 hours for 2 person assembly. Managed it myself in 2.5 hours. But the boards that mattress lay on were heavy and cumbersome so would recommend 2 for this stage. Overall very pleased as looks quality.

Good quality bed. It has firm base where mattress sits and not slats and the main reason we bought it , other reasons were headboard taking less space. Can be assembled by one person although toughest part is when you have to pick up the part 5 on your own and slide it down i recommend 2 people if you over 40 :)

The bed was delivered in the morning a bit early (which is no issue with me!) and the chaps on the wagon were fully covid safe (wearing masks and gloves). The bed was easy to assemble and done in a couple of hours. However, some of the parts are heavy so I'd recommend at least 2 people to put it together safely.

Easy to build only difference from the instructions came from the delivery guys who told us to put the floorboards in place before attaching the end. Which helped alot. I have been using the Ottomon for 2 weeks now and have already made use of the space underneath. It even fits our spare single mattress in as well as 3 camera kit bags and all the summer clothes. Headboard is ok - but the inside I base of the Ottoman storage is 4 x pieces of wood that Kt on the carpet and therefore will squash it and not a complete solid base raised off the carpet like my old ottoman bed was like. Ive had this bed for a month now and am incredibly pleased with it. It went together like a breeze and I cant believe how much storage it has. Its easy to lift (especially if, like me, you, have a dodgy back) and overall looks very smart. Good sturdy construction too. I cant recommend this enough.

Instructions were clear to follow, the bed is beautiful. Hydraulics were a bit difficult to figure out at first, but you just need some strength in the beginning then going forward, you can lift the bed with even one hand. The storage underneath is lovely too, just a very good purchase overall

Ottoman bed with divan style base, absolutely worth the extra price compared to the slats. Took just over an hour to build with two people. Note, once the pistons are in, the bed will not close without the mattress as it needs the extra weight. The quality and look is just like the picture.

The bed itself is alright. It was assembled by the dreams team and it went all smooth. BUT, we wish we went for the double instead of King. The bedroom is only 2.8m wide and the bed seems huge. Also, beware what mattress you choose as you can easily have a 60 cm high bed, which is huge.

This bed frame is of a solid build, steel bars to support the boards and gives extra strength. Has gas arms to assist with lifting and holding up the mattress whilst using storage. The headboard however could be slightly more padded for extra comfort. Overall a very nice bed - 8/10

Excellent bed and superb quality. My only gripe with the bed. Is that the mattress doesn't sit in anything and can slide. However you're only talkin 10mm either side so it really isn't a big deal. Tons of storage underneath and really well built. Worth every penny!

Chose this bedframe as a replacement. Rather disappointed that it has no feet. Delivery was delayed because of problems with suppliers. Also the bed has very strong smoke and burning smell. I have to be using fabric deodoriser to mask the smell .

The bed is great strong and works perfectly. We've saved so much space from it. Only downfall is one of the panels we're slightly bent so my partner had to try and bend it back to make it straight so the bed would lift up and down properly.

I was surprised that the bottom of the base is only a thin piece of wood that lies directly onto the carpet. Otherwise the bed is great and seems good quality. It is impossible to move once assembled due to the type of base.
