SleepSoul Mattresses
With a lower price than competitors and a quality that rivals many of the bigger brands, it's clear that this is a brand that is starting to get noticed. A few of the products have won the Which Best Buy award, offering both value and quality to give a great night's sleep without breaking the bank. The models of mattresses in the range consist of the following:
- 1. Sleepsoul Heaven Mattress
- 2. Sleepsoul Bliss Mattress
- 3. Sleepsoul Paradise Mattress
- 4. Sleepsoul Cloud Mattress
- 5. Sleepsoul Dream Mattress
- 6. Sleepsoul Space Mattress
- 7. Sleepsoul Balance Mattress
- 8. Sleepsoul Air Mattress
- 9. Sleepsoul Comfort Mattress
Sleepsoul Heaven Mattress
One of the more premium models in the range, this one is fairly new. Offering a hybrid design that gives you the best that bed in a box mattresses have to offer, the hybrid model gives you the springs of traditional mattresses with the support and rollable nature of reflex foam. The tension is regarded as a medium which will prove ideal for many consumers who sleep in any position and are of fairly typical build. On the top you have an additional comfort layer in the form of a pillow top which gives increased comfort and luxury. Beneath the pillow top you get a 20mm memory foam layer that has long been proven as a fan favourite and will appeal to many. Much like Nectar and Emma, the memory foam will provide a soft and deep sleep while it hugs and surrounds you while you rest. At the very bottom of the mattress you have 1000 springs to support your body while you sleep which work well at offering full body contouring and resistance against your joints. The Heaven is available in 4 sizes and is a great option for those shopping in the mid-tier price segment.
Sleepsoul Bliss Mattress
The Sleepsoul Bliss is one of the more popular in the range and with good reason. The Bliss sits on the higher end of the lineup with an impressive hybrid setup that sees 3 foam layers at play that all aim to offer sufficient comfort and support. What’s more, much like the Heaven model, you are getting that luxurious pillow top for an extra amount of softness. Tension in this product comes in at a medium which we still regard as the Goldilocks of comfort as it will appeal to the vast majority of people on the spectrum. Proving suitable for both back and side sleepers, this is one that will reward you in a great night's sleep. Finally, you get an impressive 800 pocket springs at the base layer which will give strong body contouring and rebound that will ensure you do not get back and neck pain commonly associated with products in this price point.
Sleepsoul Paradise Mattress
The Sleepsoul Paradise is on the lower and more affordable side for the lineup but still has a lot of great features on offer. To start, you still get the great hybrid design seen in the more premium models, albeit with a slightly lower spring count. This doesn’t diminish the overall feel however and you even get a deep gel layer that offers a cooler sleep than its memory foam counterparts. The mattress has a good degree of bounce and edge support and is rated at medium firm, a tension that will provide additional support for your back and neck and may suit those of average or heavier weight. Medium firm tension mattresses like this one also suit back sleepers better than side sleepers.
Sleepsoul Cloud Mattress
Another medium firm tension mattress, this product offers balanced performance relative to its price and offers much of the same of the core Sleepsoul offering, that is to say you get the same rolled bed in a box product with pocket springs as a base layer and pillow top as an additional comfort layer. In between that sandwiched between the two we have multiple foam layers of different tensions and comforts that all work side by side to provide a great all-rounder for a keen price point. Suitability will suit those that have a preference toward a firmer product that will help with ailments of the back and neck variety in a general manner.
Sleepsoul Dream Mattress
The Sleepsoul Dream Mattress is another fairly exciting option in the more premium segment of the lineup. The 2500 pocket springs are at the top end in terms of actual useability which offer superb body contouring and enough support to help against typical neck and back pain thanks to the way the springs apply pressure against joints. The product still manages to come boxed and rolled despite the spring count which I personally found impressive and the 10 year guarantee goes a fair way in convincing even the biggest doubters that this mattress will stand the test of time.
Sleepsoul Space Mattress
The Sleepsoul Space is one of the more premium in the lineup and looks to have been picked up by numerous retailers all of whom are carving up the price to get them out the door. The result is Sleepsoul Space Mattresses are fast becoming the bestsellers within the lineup thanks to their market-leading 2000 combination hybrid springs, medium firm tension and incredible 10 year guarantee. These springs don’t come cheap and certainly add a degree of “heft” to the mattress, but it is absolutely worth it, earning the coveted Which award among others. This mattress again has a medium firm tension and is the one we would recommend for those that are able to spend a little bit more. The all-rounder nature of this mattress makes it ideal for so many and is the true competitor to the bed-in-a-box superbrands of Emma and Nectar.
Sleepsoul Balance Mattress
Back toward the lower end of the range we have the Sleepsoul balance, offering a fair amount of good quality pocket springs to aid support to the tune of around 800. We personally prefer 1000+ when looking for peak body contouring ability but 800 will more than suit the vast majority and given it’s price, will still beat much of the rest of the market in this segment. To add further comfort to this, Sleepsoul have added a memory foam layer to sit above the springs to give further comfort and allow you to sink deep into the product and provide great softness at a superb price point.
Sleepsoul Air Mattress
The Sleepsoul Air Mattress is the cheapest in the range and in the interest of providing fair and unbiased advice I’ve got to be honest, I didn’t particularly like it. I didn’t like the open coil springs that come with it instead of the more premium pocket springs. Nor did I like the complete absence of edge support. The product will still provide you with just enough comfort to be able to sleep if you cannot afford better but I’ve tried this one and would only typically recommend it for children or a spare room.
Sleepsoul Comfort Mattress
Similar to the Sleepsoul Balance, the comfort offers more of the same, replacing memory foam for a softer “comfort foam” with the rest of the product specifications largely remaining unchanged. The use of the comfort foam does result in a slightly softer experience that may suit those that sleep on their side or are of a lower BMI than standard.
Should I buy a SleepSoul mattress?
The Sleepsoul lineup offers great value relative to their low to moderate cost. Birlea has certainly grown from the days of the Birlea Comfort Care and Juniper models and the impressive guarantee offered only shows further their desire to be taken seriously within the mattress segment. I feel like the Space offers the best all round sleep experience but everything in the lineup (except the Air) brings some impressive quality and low prices that should interest and appeal to many.
