Hugo Nickel Metal Bed Frame

We had a cast iron bed many years ago that unfortunately du to unforeseen circumstances we had to get rid of but came to regret it. We replaced with a king size extra padding on base sprung mattress and 4 drawers from dreams it was a very comfortable bed in fact so comfortable we had trouble getting up in the morning that was about 20 years ago weve moved it to our guest room now as nothing really wrong with it, its only downfall was as we move around in the bed over night I found that the bedding would keep slipping off the bottom with a constant waking cold having to pull it back up. So I thought time for a new one back to a metal frame. We didnt get to see the bed before our local branch didnt have in show room. Something I think they should rectify this bed needs to be seen to be believed the pictures dont do it justices and because delivery was about 5weeks or so and As this bed was my choice alone It was along time to worry that I might be in the divorce courts if Id got it wrong! Well it turned up with two loverly delivery guys, we had them put it in a different room to give us more room to Assembly minus the Packaging. We opened and put together in total silence. But the more I looked at it the more I new I had made the right decision. It was a double as we didnt need the extra length we put a king size mattress and topper on it (fitted perfect) new Egyptian cotton white crisp sheets and duvet cover John Lewis, new pillows and quilt from cotton town.. and held my breath. I got a smile! Well hes a man so you cant expect much can you. The beds wonderful I got the morning after. We both had the best sleep and the covers were still in place in the morning. We would highly recommend this bed. Its a very pretty but the size of the frame and four balls gives it a masculine look too. so good for both men and women! Actually it is far better than my cast iron bed. my favourite film as a kid was bed knobs and broom sticks hence the bed. I kept one off the brass balls from that bed.. just from sentiment but up against the balls on this bed they look pathetic so tiny! Great bed very happy and we are sleeping so much better. This bed was delivered 3 weeks ago and is the crowning glory of a complete master bedroom / ensuite re-fit. This bed certainly has the wow factor with a superb polished black nickel finish. We were drawn to this bed from the first time we saw it in the Dreams showroom, and we are so pleased that we went ahead with the purchase of this statement piece. The staff at dreams were a pleasure to deal with, and were very accommodating when we had to alter the delivery date twice due to hold-ups completing the bedroom alterations. The bed was delivered on schedule following the process that had been explained to us. It was quick and easy to assemble, and doing this yourself allows you to get a feel for the quality of the build. In combination with our chosen Silentnight Osterley mattress this just completes the overall package. A big thank you to the Dreams Team.

I absolutely ADORE this bed frame. I'd been waiting for a decent sale before I purchased and i'm so glad i did. It's gorgeous and really makes a statement. It's actually very light for something that looks pretty heavy, and I was able to assemble it myself with no problems. Very easy to put together as well, which I was surprised about. It's a really nice height too, especially with a 25cm deep mattress. I have arthritis and had been finding getting out of bed a struggle, but this is the perfect height to make it easy to just swing my legs over the side and stand up without feeling like i have to 'heave' my body upright.

Another good purchase from Dreams. The Hugo metal bed frame is pretty fabulous to look at, it is very sturdy as well. I paid extra for the delivery guys to put the frame together and it literally took them 20 mins. I bought a mattress to go with the bed and that too was lovely. The only thing I would mention is that the bed frame is a lot darker in real life than what is shown in the on line photo and there are no grooves on any of the four posts legs so I think that is a bit misleading but the bed is fabulous and looks great in my bedroom, very happy!

When our old frame collapsed we decided to look around for a new bed frame. I popped into the showroom at Durham on the off chance of seeing some bed frames, I was not disappointed, when I got to the first floor, standing so splendid and proud was the Hugo Nickel Metal bed frame.... well I decided there and then that this was the one for us, ordered the sprung slats and arranged for the company to build it for us. So very pleased with our purchase, its a solid piece of work. This will last us for the rest of our lives. Highly recommended.

Bed arrived ok and delivery guys were brilliant. Put bed together then found centre leg and bed finials were missing. Took three phone calls and an email to get a customer service rep to ring me back with what was happening. Eventually finials and leg did arrive. Finials not the best made bits of kit the balls not set in the cups square but am wondering wether to bother as will probably be the same if replaced and how long will that take. You would think it would be perfect when spending in excess of 1800.

This is a nice looking solid bed frame. Do read the instructions first and inspect all the parts to make sure that there is no damage. It is definitely a two person assembly job as because of the weight someone needs to support the side rails to keep them level. The advice is that the bolts are only tightened to finger tight until all are in and I would definitely follow this advice, I then tightened like a car wheel doing opposite corners, so it all goes together square. No creaks and a nice stablity.

I bought this bed just over two weeks now and it looks so classy. I was hesitant about buying a metal frame as they often don't last long or look as nice. However this was not the case with this bed. I ordered during the sale but would have paid full price if I had to. Worth every penny. Dreams kept me up to date all the time via email and called me on the day to give me 2 hour time slot. I also got the bed put together which didn't take long at all and the gentlemen were very helpful. 5 stars indeed!

I bough my bed which was delivered in the early part of the month with excellent service from the provide on the day that was agreed at the time of purchase, and I actually think it is exactly what I wanted which is a bonus as the quality is excellent and as we paid the extra for the sprung mattress it really is a solid bed which I hope we will have for many years. However imagine my dismay to find that the bed is now reduced by 120 as it is in the sale so disappointed and just my luckl !!

Excellent service delivery 4 days after purchase Staff polite and efficient phoned to give update on delivery time also on time. Brought bed up stairs for us no problem. Just now waiting for mattress 15 more days. Bed frame very stylish very happy experience with Dreams. Had this bed delivered about 2 weeks ago and although its nice you need to keep a few things in mind. The title should say its black nickel as it only says it in description the item is just listed as nickel frame. Also the bed can be a little noisy with moving around although it seems to have lessened as its bedded in (pun intended) Also I ordered king size as my mattress is king size but the bed is wider and yiu can see the wooden slats. Otherwise its a nice bed very classy looking.

Lovely looking bedframe but not as sturdy as cheaper models. There is no centre support down the middle of the slats meaning the frame footboard can shift/twist off centre from the headboard. IKEA beds have thin metal bars in a V shape attached to the frame to stop this. Also the head and footboards are only held in place by bolts, there are not brackets which hook the sides in place for more stability. I'm not convinced it will last long, wish I'd bought the spring slat version instead,.

We had to replace a bedframe after purchase and decided to replace it with nickel Hugo bedframe. I like the look of it. It looks luxurious and gives spacious look to a room. But none of the bedframes are good Quality anymore. They are made not to last more than a decade. There are made to last couple of years. We had a sleepmasters bedframe black and gold 15 years ago.It was the strongest bedframe ever. I wish I didnt sell it . Dreams must work with good quality companies.

Me and my partner love this bed it's a real statement piece /we had a slight issue after building the bed 1 off the posts on the headframe was damaged / but after contacting customer service who were absolutely outstanding bye the way fixed our issue within 5 minutes without even emailing them any pictures replaced the whole headboard frame with a date and time that suited our needs faultless top to bottom with everything we'll done dreams keep up the brilliant work

Love this bed frame, buying on line was easy and the delivery men carried the bed to our bedroom. We did not have the assembly, but easy to do yourself. I was a bit disappointed that it wasnt until I got to the instructions, that I realised there was a support we could have bought for the middle of slats, as it was a super king size. This should be more obvious at check out. My husband managed to make one, I would not have wanted to wait to get the one from store.

This turned out to be very dark and didn't have the slight brassy tinge it looked to have from the website. Additionally we found the it looked a bit too ostentatious, the finials were oversized and the mattress area was a big too big so the wooden slats were visible at the edges and at the end of the bed. Can't complain too much about the look as we couldn't see it in person, but for the money it would have been nice if it had been better at concealing the slats.

Bought this a month or so ago and it was a good customer experience start to finish. Easy to order, easy for payments and the delivery organising system is brilliant. I particularly noticed the difference between how easy everything was with dreams and how difficult a competitor or theirs was who Id already ordered a mattress from. The frame itself was easily put together and is one of the sturdiest frames Ive come across. Couldnt be happier with it.

We bought this bed frame about a month ago and I have to say that it looks great in our bedroom, very stylish and just what we were looking for. My only gripe with it is that if the frame is not secured tightly, you do get a squeaking when you get on and off the bed. The slats underneath the mattress need something under them as only three are secured to the frame so any movement causes noise. However that aside we are very pleased with the bed frame.

We moved house in November and we were in need of a new bed. I walked past the Dreams shop in my local town and on display was the Hugo bed. It looked great in the shop and looks even better in our bedroom. Even through these difficult days Dreams delivered safely without enduring their staff to any contact. The lads who delivered the bed were extremely polite and left the bed at the door which was fine. All in all fantastic service would 100% recommend

i love this frame it looks very classy and is sturdy but it didnt come with instructions to how to put it together though it was easy enough to work out how. it also comes with a single little foot thing to put in the middle of the slats to aid in support. theres enough room under neath the bed that if you wished to store boxes under it you could which is a big reason for me buying this frame. i love it!

My wife and I chose this independently because of its look We chose to put it up ourselves which took around an hour and a bit of swearing but not difficult Only small negative point is the bolts that hold the side bars to the head and foot are silver colour and would be aesthetically more pleasing if they had a sel-coloured cap to cover them But a solid, traditional bed frame that seems well made

The frame itself is lovely and solid but the slats underneath are a stupid design. They are long solid slats that only had 1 central support leg so on a super king size bed it sank in the middle. My husband has put two support beams with legs that has made it solid and perfect, I dont know why they are designed like that it would be pennies for them to add extra support and make it perfect.

We have had this bed for 2 weeks now and it is stunning in our bedroom. We purchased it with a new mattress and we are delighted. The first night the bed was making loud noises when we moved about and found that it may have been due to the legs rubbing against the skirting board. We moved the bed by about half a centimetre away from the skirting and have not had a problem since.

Wow I just luv my new bed frame. It arrived on time with 2 lovely strong men.who carried it up the stairs and put it all together in record time. I am normally a bit of a crank who is not easily pleased so this is excellent. They were lovely polite and friendly, when it was complete they asked me to come up and make sure I was happy. Got this bed in time for Christmas and everything from the customer service to delivery was excellent. Bed is so classy looking and people have commented on how gorgeous my room looks. Ever so slightly squeaky when getting into and out of it but not a big deal (and I got it built for me by delivery men) - Best purchase Ive made in the recent decoration of my house.

Lovely design and we particularly like the colour.have been impressed by how solid the bed feels to sleep on. The comparison to our old bed is clear, even with the same mattress. One point to note is that the metal frame is easily scratched but no complaints. Also must say Dreams were excellent from approach to ongoing communication and delivery, very helpful.

We picked this bed but was concerned about the quality, from other places we have ordered from we expected cheap because that's what we are used to from companies, not used dreams before and were extremely happy. The quality is exceptional and sturdy and just beautiful! You will not be dissapointed with this bed. I will never go anywhere else again

The bed we received looks a completely different colour to the one in the picture which is bronze. Ours is dark steel. By the time we realised the bed hadnt already been put together. We checked the packing and the name was the same. Having said that weve made the colour work and its comfortable just not what we were expecting.

Spotted this in the shop and feel instantly in love. Different then the other bed they has in store and knew it would suit my home. Good quality, i had something like this as a kid and it was wobbling and falling but this bed is going nowhere. Perfect structure and design i can already tell ill have this bed for years to come

The service from the day we went to the showroom, until the bed was eventually delivered and assembled, has been first class. Dreams went further when they delayed the delivery of the bed until we had had the carpet laid. The quality of the bed is excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending Dreams to future customers.

Bought this bed for moving into our house after a fire. I have always bought fabric or leather sleigh beds so I wasn't too sure how this one would turn out, however the quality of this bed is out of this world, its well made, really sturdy once built, it was so well packaged also and looks absolutely stunning in the room.

Loved the look of this bed frame. Its so much more sturdy than others Ive looked at. As yet Ive not put it together but Im sure it will be as perfect as it was in the shop. I purchased this bed a few weeks ago. I bought the super king as I wanted the bed to make a statement for our guests in our holiday home. Its well made and very sturdy. The delivery guys were great and it was easy to put together (with two people). I love the grey nickel colour and it looks great in the master bedroom!

Lovely and big bed. The bed frame seems to be bigger than the superking mattress so its too big. When we furst got it the bedknobs wouldnt fit and no fixing inside posts as was missing so had to wait a other 2 wks for a replacement. It looks nice and would recommend to buy the customer services were good and helpful.

Delivered two weeks ago after buying on impulse when purchasing a new mattress. No regrets. Looks great. Straight forward to assemble. Wished we'd been given the choice of flat slats or sprung slats - we got the flat slats but would've ordered the sprung slats had we known it was an option. Happy with purchase.

This bed is amazing. It is exactly what I wanted. It's very well made and sturdy. It does not creak or move at all. I also love the black nickel finish. Something different to the brass finishes ect...and it really stands out in my room. It looks great abdis the best bed that I have ever bought. Perfect! 10/10

I bought this bed about 3 weeks ago, I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it in the store. It looks amazing, it's very sturdy and well put together. We got the bed with the slats and a medium to firm mattress and have had the best sleep in a very long time. I would definitely recommend this bed.

This is an excellent bed that is very sturdy. Everything I needed for self-assembly was included and it took around 45mins to get it unpacked and assembled. The bed itself is wonderful looking and the dark nickel colouring should remain timeless. I would highly recommend this bed to anyone!!

I bought this bed frame, Hugo, about 3 weeks ago. Everytime I walk into the bedroom I and still amazed and impressed about the bold design. The bed is the main feature in most rooms however can become drowned by over elements of the room; not the hugo I couldn't recommend it enough.

Took a while to pick a the right style bed to go in my property renovation.. up against a slate wall, with crisp white bedding on a woollen knotted carpet it looks stylish and although I had reservations about a metal frame, its sturdy enough and with the sprung slats, very comfortable

I purchased this bed frame in the Black Friday sale along with a new mattress, 4 free silent night pillows were part of the deal too. I Absolutely love it, it has transformed my bedroom and looks lovely. The delivery guys were great too. Easy process from ordering through to delivery.

I had fed delivers 3 weeks ago the shop staff were 100% spot on in every way product knowledge delivery plan. The bed turned up at the time and day we arranged 2 van drivers so easy delivery. Both very tidy and perlite . I must say dealings with dreams was a dream 100% in every way

Was delivered with scratches that didnt show up until later in the day when the sun was lower and it had scratches from rubbing the headboard and baseboard. Is meant to be being fixed in a couple weeks but we shall see. But when it was in shop it looks beautiful when not scratched.

Wow what a bed. Looks really good in the bedroom, definitely a statement piece. This bed makes you feel great to be tired so you can go to bed and enjoy the bed. You just dont want to get up, or that could just be me. Overall a beautiful purchase that we are very happy with.

I bought this before lockdown and have had to keep pushing back the delivery date until I moved house. This was well worth the wait and a great centre piece for the bedroom. Finger prints are barely noticeable and it is and easy clean. The most stunning bed frame Ive seen!

Just love it, as soon as we walked passed the dreams shop my husband and I both stopped in our tracks and done a u turn to have another look, we both said thats the bed we want, it reminded us of bed knobs and broomsticks film, it now takes pride and place in our bedroom.

I bought this bed recently and have been surprised how good it has been. Sturdy construction, and non of the creaking nosies usually associated with metal bed frames. The slats are solid and the has meant my neck pain has disappeared and saved me buying a new mattress.

After a month of using the bed, we are amazed that neither of us have had a sleepless night. There are no creaks, or hints of instability in the frame and it was so easy to put together, it took less than an hour on my own using the supplied Allen keys. Great look too

Lovely bed frame, the pictures don't give it justice. It reminds me of the bed in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. We had ours fitted by Dreams in our bedroom. They were really polite and courteous and even put my mattress back on for me. Would definitely recommend.

This is a gorgeous bed for our Master suite. Very sturdy and a brilliant design. We couldn't be happier with it. We also highly recommend the installation package - the two men that arrived were amazing and very friendly and took them no more than 5 minutes.

The bed looks very chic and, considering it is a metal bed frame, its very silent and sturdy to sleep on. We paid for the delivery guys to put it up and they were quick and they experienced no issues with the making of it. Overall, its a very nice bed!

The Hugo Nickel Metal Bed frame was an expensive purchase but well worth it for such a sturdy, beautiful well made addition to our bedroom, i am sure we will still have it for many years. Money well spent ! Assembly was so easy only took us 45 mins.

We wanted a metal bed and this one seemed to be the most solid one and a better price than what other retailers had on offer. Took more than the 30 mins to assemble, but we did it without issues. Well packed and most packaging was recyclable.

Bed looks stunning, although the details are a let down which is reflected in the price. You can see the slats as mattress doesn't fully cover it. Other than that pleased with the bed. Its very comfortable and will be used as a guest bed.

Had this bed delivered, and is amazing , what I like about this bed is how natural light , or bedside light reflects on the bed even though it is black nickel gives off warm glow, went on line and in store to view bed before purchasing

Beautiful crafter bed so sturdy Had the wooden slats was dunious due to previous beds but these wooden slats are thick and very supportive this is a lovely bed luxurious looking with great finish, highly recommend and great service

I love the look of this bedframe, it has the look of an antique but fits in beautifully in a modern room. No creeking like the old fashioned metal beds and it's strong enough to support a very heavy mattress without any problems.

This bed is gorgeous, looks amazing and really sturdy. I took out a 10 year insurance on it which covers everything, even the slats.took the delivery guys approximately 15 minutes to put together and they were so respectful.

I brought this on boxing day. Delivery took around until the first week of February and not completely happy with the finish on a couple of the posts. Didn't mention it as was worried a replacement would take another month.

This bed is beautiful and would look great in any bedroom. The nickel colour goes with any colour scheme and Im so glad I purchased it. I also picked the Campbell mattress which is so comfortable and I sleep like a baby .

This is the most solid and substantial bed I have found in recent years .it assembled just as easy as all the rest but the quality and stability are far superior to all the others I could find combining style and quality

Nice solid bed! Finish quaility on the round finials is a bit pore! They have rough bits on them and a bit out of line on their screw base! Also all the screw fixings are too baggy in the holes! Should be better sized!!!

The Hugo bed is fantastic, we would definately recommend. You certainly get what you pay for, the only downside to purchasing this bed is we have never slept so well and know finding it very difficult to get out of bed!

Brilliant sturdy bed so much so we have two of them one king size and our bed is the super king version cannot recommend it high enough . Have also talked my son and his wife into one , we should be on commission lol

This bed certainly makes a statement! I purchased the Super King size and the proportions look perfect. The Foot and headboard are both made with very large diameter bars which really help make a feature of the bed

Bed looks nice but the slat fixings dont secure tight. Had to get extra washers to get a nice tight fit and the screw for the center post in the middle of the bed snapped. Had use one of my own. Not impressed at all
