Ava Metal Bed Frame

When I redecorated my bedroom, i picked everything in lacquered, light wood and whites. I would have liked a wooden bed, but I have a cat, so I had to go for a metal frame or he would have used it as an additional scratch post. I'm telling you this so that you'll realise that when I bought it, this frame was kind of a "plan b", the choice I HAD to make due to my pet, rather than something I truly liked. However, once it was delivered, my attitude towards it quickly changed. It's a very solid frame, no wiggling, no squeaking, no defects of any kind and I paid for assembly so it was also solidly put together. It was one of the cheaper frames, so I re-invested the saving into buying good sprung slats (an add-on that I would advise you to get if you can afford the extra cost) and a truly exceptional mattress. This combination has outperformed all my expectations, I have the best bed I've ever had in my life. I am so glad that I decided to pop into Dreams to see what they offered, as otherwise I would have had to buy everything online, without trying it, and I doubt that I would have achieved the same results. I didn't give it a perfect score because the feet are simply raw steel (painted, obviously), without any feature that would prevent scratching your wood/laminate floor when the bed inevitably needs to be moved. however I obviously solved that problem by buying some large felt pads, which fit it perfectly. So, it's a handsome frame, it's sturdy, solid yet cheap, so as long as you like the design and colour, choosing it is a no-brainer.

Wow, in a word. I decided to purchase the Ava metal frame bed from Dreams after an awful experience with a certain Swedish flat pack furniture store (worse thing Ive EVER slept on and it gave me horrendous backaches every single day). The bed is gorgeous and incredibly well made, and unlike the last one, this hasnt started squeaking after sleeping on it for a week! I paid extra for the Dreams team to construct the bed (Im in a wheelchair), and Im so pleased I did, they did such a great job (and had the bed made within twenty minutes). Its also really sturdy (and still hasnt squeaked once). They were lovely guys too. Overall, I can honestly say I dont think Id ever buy another bed from anyone but Dreams again. The whole experience with them, from the ease of placing the order, to actually sleeping on it, has made a huge difference (and no backaches in sight!). I have enough health issues to deal with, I dont need an incredibly uncomfortable bed adding to it. Though the last one was slightly cheaper, it certainly wasnt worth the months of uncomfortable, often sleepless nights. Id recommend Dreams, and especially the beautiful Ava bed frame, to anyone. I really love this bed frame, it's gorgeous and sturdy. It was really easy to build, two people can do it easily in a couple of hours. I love the little flowers on it as it makes the bed a bit more special. My only issue with the frame is that one of the corner balls came with the paint chipped in a visible area. I would definitely buy it again, however I wouldn't pay for the selected AM/PM delivery. Mine was scheduled for the beginning of my selected PM delivery and the driver arrived an hour earlier than the slot I was provided with. This way my delivery came at AM, was a waste of money for me. At least the driver called me so I could come home from work.

Great sturdy frame. Easy to order, friendly in store staff that were very knowledgable and helpful. Delivery went very smoothly and on time with great communication. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars was that the footboard had blistered paint. However when I rang customer service, they were more than helpful and we took delivery of a replacement part the next week. Delivery team arrived on time, fitted the replacement part free of charge and took all packaging and the faulty part away- very neat and tidy. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend them .

I was looking for a white metal bed frame that would look nice in my cottage. This bed is well made, sturdy, and looks amazing. It's a clean white colour and the details on the bed look pretty. I went for the sprung slat base and this was a good choice despite the extra money as it makes the mattress feel softer and more comfortable. It was relatively easy to assemble, although there were a few points where two pairs of hands were needed. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and it took about an hour to put together.

If you are looking for a comfortable bed, with a nice metal frame finish and at a bargain price, well this is the product for you. This won't cure any back ailments you may have, but it will most certainly help. As a sciatica sufferer for many years, I have systematically been looking for a mattress that could help my lower back pain---to no avail, until I found and purchased this bed. I have never had a great nights sleep, until now and I would highly recommend this to all back pain sufferers 10/10

Very happy with bed frame. Our old divan was creaking a lot so I wanted to replace it. This makes no noise at all which is lovely. Nice to have room underneath for storage too. Delivery on time and well notified. Paid for assembly, very quick and they left the included instructions and allen key should we need to disassemble it anytime. Easy to undo should we need to move apparently. Went for solid slats as didnt think itd make much difference with our mattress. No idea though! Very happy with it as is.

The bed frame was very easy to assemble. I hadn't realised how high the bed became once our mattress was added. This was perfect for my husband and me as we are getting a little grey around the edges and can't spring out of bed like we used to. We opted for solid slats and this has, again, been perfect for us, giving us a fairly firm mattress to ensure a good night's sleep. The frame looks amazing in our bedroom and we will definitely be upgrading our other bed to the double size version of this.

I've had this bed for a couple of weeks and it's one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. There's plenty of storage space underneath and although some reviews say the frame creaks I haven't heard a peep from mine as of yet. Assembly didn't take too long either, between the two of us working together we put it up relatively quickly with little to no problems, although some of the bolts underneath are a bit fiddly to screw in. All on all, lovely bed that makes my bedroom so much nicer.

Very sturdy, high-quality looking bed for my daughter. She absolutely loves it, has a real traditional feel to it. Took a while to come but thats down to supply chain issues and adequate warning was given. The best part of the purchase were the three extremely helpful gentleman who delivered the bed up to the third floor, they were very helpful in giving advice on how to construct it, took their shoes off, respected my property. 10 out of 10 for service well done dreams!

I am totally happy with my bed. From the moment of choosing the bed/mattress from Sebastian at Customer Service, not only did he suggest the best options for me, but he got me the best possible deal that didn't hurt my purse strings! I have to say that from the moment of ordering to the delivery they kept in contact with me on a regular basis. The men were helpful and polite and gave me the best possible advice. I bought this bed plus the recommended mattress and I am delighted with it. I haven't had such a good night's sleep in years, even with my arthritis. Plus it was del;ivered on the date and time booked. The two men that installed it for me were very polite, professional and carried out all the Covid-19 rules. They removed my old bed and mattress as well. They left the whole house spotlessly clean

The Ava is a lovely bed & looks fantastic in my bedroom. My only criticism is that & maybe I didnt read the description properly but on buying the solid slats I didnt realise that the under bed support was a single wooden post & not the 2 metal supports that you get on the sprung slats, but saying that I am very pleased with my purchase & will buy from again & recommend Dreams to others

Nice looking bed frame but unlike a similar one I bought from Dreams before, the bed has no central support bar which makes the base of the bed seem a little flimsy. I think it's more like a children's bed rather than an adults but time will tell if it's going to stand up to weight or if the lats will snap. I am glad i bought the frame in the sale or may have considered returning it.

I bought this bed a week ago and so far am very happy with it. It was easy to assemble, looks really nice, and seems sturdy. I had worried that a metal bed frame might creak but there has not been a squeak so far. I have slept very well and would definitely recommend this bed. I had a wooden frame before, but this white frame definitely makes the room seem lighter and brighter.

So happy with this bed and the service we received from dreams. The bed was taken into the room I needed it in and arrived on time. This was very important as I hadn't left much contingency for when our guests arrived. The delivery guys even gave us hints for assembly. My husband had since sleepy in it (was in the dog house that night) and has said it was very comfy.

Such a pretty bed frame! Currently doing my room up due to having more time during lockdown, and honestly could not be happier with it. Im 23 years old, not the best at DIY and was able to put this bed together by myself in about 2 hours. Easy to assemble, and Im sure would be even easier with 2 people. Very sturdy as well, one happy customer!

Bought with sprung slats, adds a perfect amount of bounce to an all foam mattress. All joints have rubber washers so no creaking, lovely finish no flaws. I bought King size and found it extremely easy to put together on my own despite the instructions saying 2 people required, it would be quicker but that's all. Very happy a lovely bed frame

The bed frame came packaged very well and all the components were there. Assembly instructions were very straight forward and the bed was built in no time at all. Overall the bed frame is of good build and quality of material seem very good. There were a couple of paint chips and the weld in one place not the best which was disappointing.

Bought this bed for my eldest daughter who needed a new one. Previously we had bought from a different company but the quality of that bed was very poor. This one is lovely! As far as ease of putting it together; well my two daughters (9 & 10) were able to do most of it with a bit of support. Would definitely recommend this bed!

I bought this frame recently as my old one had broken. I've wanted a bed frame like this for ages and am so happy I finally got one! The installation team were really lovely and talked me through how to take it down if I ever need to. The quality of the frame is really nice and sturdy - couldn't be happier really!

Got this bed for my Father. Great bed, well made, recommended for value and comfort. Took the sprung slats option for extra comfort. Doesn't creak and wake him up like the old bed. We bought this bed about 3 weeks ago for my son's new bedroom; the bed looks good and is easy to build; took less than 30 minutes. He has slept in it without incident. The only thing that i believe would make it better are metal cross members at the top and bottom of the bed to give it a little more rigidity.

Really happy, we sleep comfortably with this bedframe, which is cat friendly, as we no longer have sleepless nights, as the cat cannot claw the bottom of the bed frame like the previous one we had before. We are also delighted, that it holds our Sealy mattress very nicely. Thanks very much Dreams.

We bought this for our 12 year old daughter after looking at lots of white frames and reviews. Pretty happy with it. My only slight criticism would be that the frame for the sprung slats is visible and raises the mattress up a little too much. Maybe the wooden slats would have been a better option.

I had this bedframe and a new mattress delivered just over 2 weeks ago, and I've had such a good night sleep. The frame is so solid and is such a lovely frame that compliments my bedroom amazingly. I went for the sprung slats, which cost a little bit extra but I can recommend is well worth doing.

This bed is solid, well made, with additional centre support legs. It arrived ontime and wasassembled by the crew quickly and efficiently. Could I have assembled it myself? Possibly, but there were more parts than needed for different scenarios, having someone who knew the ropes was conforting!

Very happy with it. It's extremely lightweight and looks good in a small room. The only downside was the tapping screw to secure the central support leg broke in two while we were tightening it and has left the central support leg very loose. Please let me know what you can do about it.

I am happy with the bed. Note it doesnt have a centre piece running from top to bottom to support slats so slats are unsupported. It did take three attempts to get an undamaged bed head. So I think Dreams can improve thier quality assurance. Delivery guys were great .. all three times!

So pleased with this bed, it looks great in our cottage, its sturdier than i thought it would be considering how reasonable the price is. I went for the sprung slats and its so comfy. The delivery and commutations were outstanding as was the after sales service. Highly recommended!

I bought this to go into a newly decorated bedroom. I was a bit worried that I was ordering off the internet without seeing it first but I am very happy now that it has been delivered. It looks lovely, and feels robust. The guys who delivered it and put it together were superb too.

This Ava bed frame looks fantastic in our newly decorated Master Bedroom. We have received so many admiring comments. It looks so stylish & is exactly the look we wanted.We went for the slatted base & this is brilliant teamed with the Sealy Maxwell Traditional Sprung Mattress.

Lovely frame bought for my guest bedroom. Ideal for a smaller bedroom and not bulky like some frames. Nice pattern on the vertical posts which is like a daisy. Would recommend and not too expensive. Installed by the Dreams team and took my old bed away for recycling.

Bought this bed for our guest room as it was reasonably priced and a nice, simple design. Unfortunately the bed arrived broken, with one leg completely bent/broken. We did get a replacement reasonably quickly though and Im happy with the bed now it is assembled.

I bought this bed frame to put in spare room as a guest bed. Instructions to assemble were easy to follow & although it recommended two people to assemble, I managed to do it alone. Ive had family stay and use the bed & they found it very comfortable.

I bought the Ava bed base a few weeks ago and it looks lovely in my spare room. As it is a metal bed it looks like it takes up less room than a bulky wooden bed. The finish is mostly good, just one mark on one of the knobs that screw onto the headboard.

Some features of this bed are very nice, but I was disappointed with the assembly, the screw holes did not line up easily and the slats are very flimsy. Will be keeping an eye on them to make sure they do not split. Luckily I am not a heavy person.

I bought a bed from Dreams when they were trading from Chalk Farm Rd in the early eighties, my recent purchase is every bit as good as the previous ones, Dreams are second to none, wouldnt go anywhere else, excellent value for money. Alan Emery

Only been using this for 24 months and only right hand side of the bed is slept on. The slats on the the left hand side are perfect but the slats on the upper part of the right hand side have split and broken. Ill have to buy new slats. Not ideal

I bought this be about a month and so far the bed has been amazing. Really pleased with it and it was very easy to build which was a benefit for me as during this pandemic I was unable to have visitors. Thanks Dreams for making me Dream again. :)

I like the look of this bed, although it is shinier/glossier than it looks in the photos (so not quite as I thought) and also arrived with some deep scuffs in, which I wasn't too impressed about! But a nice enough looking bed. Seems quite sturdy.

Perfect bed for my Victorian cottage! It makes a statement without being in your face, not too big, very pretty and excellent quality. It was delivered promptly by the Dreams team, manoeuvred up my quaint stairs and expertly put together.

I bought this bed about a month ago and am delighted with it. I put my new Emma mattress on it and new bedding and it looks a million dollars in my period house. Its study and it looks stylish and in-keeping with the house snd furnishings.

Take care when fitting the bolts with the rubber washers, they can easily drop to the floor. Would also suggest using 2 large metal washers when fixing mattress support frame to bed frame , small washer has tendency to fall into hole.

The Ava bed frame is great. It looks just like the photos, is easy to put up (with detailed instructions from Dreams and a video online) and feels very sturdy once up. All in all, the bed frame is fab and just what I was looking for.

This bed frame will not disappoint. It looks good and is sufficiently engineered not to crumple and fail like the cheaper alternative I had bought 9 months earlier. You get what you pay for, this is simply a well made bed frame.

Bought 2 of these, good value for the price. Arrived on time as planned, and delivered right to the bedroom, and well protected to prevent damage. Went together very easily, no problem at all, the assembly is well designed.

Had this bed for around a month now and really love it, looks really good and feels sturdy. My only issue is that the slats will occasionally slip out and we have to lift the whole mattress off to fix it, which is annoying.

Lovely bed frame but sadly the paint was damaged on delivery. Excellent delivery men immediately called HQ for replacement. Sadly the headboard of that bed has also got paint damage. Still awaiting headboard replacement.

Excellent bed for the price. You have the option of straight slats or sprung. It comes in a few boxes to keep the weight down. Very easy to assemble, and solidly built as well as aesthetically pleasing. Thumbs up here.

The Ava bed frame is perfect, just what I needed. Looks fabulous in the room with grey bedding. I chose to assemble this myself and found the instructions very clear to follow. The result is a very nice, sturdy frame.

Pretty looking bed but not too sure about strength. Only had bed ten days when l noticed wooden support leg in middle of bed (there's only one) had broken. Quickly repaired but it makes me wonder about quality.

Comes in a flat pack but very easy to put together. We moved the centre support over a bit as we wanted to put a single bed underneath for visitors. We had the single version of the bed which sold quickly

Took an hour to build with my Mum, real easy instructions to follow and such a lovely bed frame! Looks really posh for the money and looks really nice! Plenty of under bed storage as well which is handy!!

The bed frame is well priced and built well. Nothing is loose or badly made. I was hesitant at first because how light the back board was but was supplied on how little the frame moves or makes any noise

Although very happy with the Ava bed frame it could do with a diagonal brace across at least two corners of the frame. Occasionally it is necessary to move the bed and it has a tendency to parallelogram.

Replaced old single bed with this Ava metal bed frame and I absolutely adore it. Looks beautiful. Its surprisingly high up from the ground but thats fine for me, just bear it in mind when purchasing

We got the king size, good price, easy to put together & looks lovely with our white wooden furniture. The ball pictured doesn't screw all the way down leaving a small gap but overall happy with it

My bed looks so good.i love it's shape and the solid round orbs at the corners.i think it's quite a feminine bed.The cool metal frame is delicious to rest hot feet on in the middle of the night.

Nice bed frame. Robust. Easy to put together, all tools supplied as part of the package. Higher off the ground than most, which makes it easier for this ageing body to slip on and out of bed.

Love the look and strength of the bed frame .Only disappointment is that there are two brown marks ,one each on the headboard and the footboard that look like rust marks and won't wipe off .

Lovely design but had the odd stain near finials and chip on one of the flowers on the foot end of the bed. So didnt arrive in perfect condition but Im not perfect myself either.

I bought this bed for my new bedroom, thinking a girlie haven! It's beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. Very sturdy too. Fab with fairy lights twisted round the frame.
