If you are looking for a modern and stylish bed frame that won't break your budget then I would recommend considering the Abbey metal bed frame. I personally own this bed frame and can share my experience with it, as well as some pros and cons based on customer feedback.

I ordered the Abbey metal bed frame online from Dreams after browsing their website for a while. Ultimately I was looking for a simple but elegant bed frame that would fit in one of my smaller spare bedrooms that would match my minimalist decor. I chose the grey colour option, but they also have white and pink available at the same price point.

The delivery of the frame was fast and efficient with it arriving within 2 weeks, at which point we took to work with assembly. That assembly was fairly straightforward, following the clear instructions and using the tools provided. The different size screws and washers were already sorted in a blister pack, which saved me a lot of time and hassle although we were missing one screw which meant affixing the head end was a bit more of a challenge.

I'm very happy with the end result as the bed frame looks great in my bedroom thanks to its sleek design which doesn't take up too much space or overwhelm the room. The metal is sturdy and durable but it doesn't squeak or wobble when I move around on it. The headboard and foot end are comfortable to lean against when reading or watching TV.

I opted for the solid slats option, which works fine for me as I have a medium-firm memory foam mattress that doesn't need much extra support. However, if you have a softer or heavier mattress, you might want to upgrade to sprung slats for more comfort and durability.

As far as final thoughts go, I would recommend the Abbey metal bed frame to anyone looking for a stylish and affordable option. It's a great choice for those with smaller bedrooms and minimalist decor, and the various colour options make it easy to match with your existing furniture.

Bed is beautiful. Bought for a 5 year olds first big bed, but would be equally suitable for a girlie teenager. Its pink but not Barbie pink. Delivery team excellent. There was a single hole missing in the slats which is required for assembly. We were able to drill this ourselves and Dreams compensated us adequately for the inconvenience. Contemplating the king size in a different colour for our own room. The star is removed only for the absence of the hole in the slats.

Amazing good quality and sturdy bed for the money. It was very easy to assemble following the clear instructions and the different size screws and washers etc are ready sorted on a blister pack. I purchased the sprung base instead of the slatted base and it was well worth the extra cost and again easy to fit. ut

This is a very good quality bed and looks really lovely too. I purchased a single bed in this style and it's great. I found it a little fiddly to put together, but overall not bad. Very sturdy when assembled and would be a great addition to any household for an everyday or guest bed. Highly recommended bed frame.

I am very pleased with this bed frame, it's exactly what I needed. It's the right height off the floor and its very sturdy. It doesn't creak at all like a lot of metal bed frames and I toss and turn all night long. I'm able to get a better night sleep because I purchased this bed frame.

Looks good. Took about 2 hours to build with one person. However came slightly damaged (two pipes were slightly dented) and the slats seemed quite low quality and prone to slipping around because theyre not secured into place being only screwed in at the ends not middle.

Bed frame came as expected on time. Had to jiggle one of the legs to allow it to slide into position and one of the screw on bed slats, a bit of persistent and all built. Clear instructions. Happy with the bed frame

What is the distance from bed base to top of foot end to get an idea of what thickness of mattress would work well. Thank you. An what is the width of the slats. My Silentnight mattress stipulates slats 10cms wide and separated by 7.5cms.
