I absolutely love this Tempur Smartcool mattress. I have slept on a traditional Tempur mattresses before and loved them but unfortunately my husband gets too hot and doesn't find them firm enough. I, on the other hand, am a cold person so find them cosy if perhaps a little softer than I'm used to. This mattress has been the perfect compromise. The medium firm rating is perfect and we find that it does regulate both our temperatures really well - much better than cheaper gel layer mattresses have done for us in the past. Whilst it is a very expensive mattress I think it is worth the extra cost. The only downside is that if you really struggle with the cold and routinely use an electric blanket or hot water bottle note that Tempur does not recommend using heated products with it. I find that my cold feet warm up more quickly when lying on the mattress due to its temperature regulating properties so don't need my heated blanket, thereby saving a little electricity. It is also great for my joint aches as it does relieve the pressure on my hip when side sleeping despite being on the slightly firmer side.

This was the best mattress purchase that we've ever made! My husband and I have various age related aches and pains in different joints and trying to find a mattress that suits both of our needs has proved to be very problematic in the past. We therefore investigated The Tempur brand and I wish I looked into these mattresses years ago! They relieve all the pressure points but still remain supportive in all the other areas of your body. I'm a side sleeper. My husband is a back sleeper and this mattress suits us both so perfectly. It's a different technology in a different field so it will feel very different initially to your normal mattress especially if you have had a combination of springs and memory foam which is what we had before but after the first initial few nights you soon realise that you've woken up every morning without an ache. And team Benson's were amazing from the lovely sales assistant in the shop to the guys who delivered it, nothing was too much trouble.

Very comfy mattress. It does take just a little while to get used to how it feels, as it is different to your average squashy bed. What you find with this bed is that you have to wait just a little moment when you first get into bed, for the mattress to 'give' and form a little hollow around you, which is the best bit. We went for a medium firm. I weigh a lot less than my husband and even then the mattress is suitable for us both in terms of comfort. It is very supportive and a pleasure to lie on. What I like best: the way it conforms to your own specific body mass. What takes a little getting used to: that the mattress does feel very firm compared with the average mattress when you first sit on it, and your brain thinks it's going to be as hard as nails to lie on, but it's not. It's very comfy.

I purchased this mattress to replace my old Tempur mattress, which I had for nearly 27 years. The new mattress is just as good as the previous one with the addition of the Smartcool feature. I will never buy another type of mattress. Sleeping is such a personal thing, that if you find that a mattress really works for you then why change. I know that Tempur is more expensive than other similar types of mattress's but they are well worth every penny. The only thing I would advise, is to go into a store and try each of the different varieties of Tempur as there is a significant difference in the firmeness between each and again this is a personal choice.

Never had a matress as expensive as this one totally silly money BUT worth every single penny I honestly struggle to find words for how good this matress is, the quality is excellent, it is comfortable beyond words almost like sleeping on a cloud, helps with aches and pains it is cooling in the heat warm in the cold I seriously recommend this matress if you have the money DO IT ! I have never slept so well in my entire life I have absolutely no cons no complaints at all it really is something else, I don't snore as much I am less restless it comes with a 10 year guarantee you don't need to turn it it is quite simply awesome .

Tempur pro plus smart cool mattress. This is my first memory foam mattress and I have been delighted with how comfortable it is. I had aches and pains in my hips and shoulders, especially on waking up and these have completely gone away! The bed feels cool and comfortable when you initially get in and fall asleep but the gel does heat up through the night if you are a hot sleeper and it takes a long time to cool down when you move. In summary, this is a great bed if you have arthritis or aches and pains. However, if you overheat at night, this won't solve the problem unfortunately.

This mattress felt fine in the shop but at home it is not as we would want. Too firm and very different feel depending on the ambient temperature. As much as we have tried to convince ourselves that we should stick with it, we can't. My wife said that she no longer feels like she looks forward to getting 'into' bed, more going to lie 'on' bed. Our previous mattress was Tempur and we thought paying the extra for the latest would be a good option. We were wrong. Testing a mattress in the shop is not the same as sleeping on it. I really like this mattress, it's comfortable and no more waking up with aches and pains. For a soft mattress it's quite firm for me. My partner however is not getting on with it and finds it difficult to move in and as a result is waking up with stiff back. It's only been a couple weeks so hopefully over time he will adapt better to this mattress. The cooling element of the mattress isn't as cool as I hoped it would be but is definitely an improvement on from my old mattress.. I would recommend anyone looking to purchase this mattress to try in store.

Love my mattress. Miss it when I am away for Christmas and vacation. Sleep so much better with this. When my friend stayed over at mine, he loved it so much that he is planning to purchase one as well. Quoting him 'I love feeling like I have slept for 8 hours when I have only slept for 6 hours.' I have bought Emma, Simba and Sealy mattresses previously and this is the best. Even converted my partner who does not like memory foam mattresses as he often thinks that those are not great for temperature regulation but he loves this as much as I do.

Excellent product, my last Tempur mattress lasted nearly 20 years, and this one is even better! Whilst expensive, it's well worth it - I have a degenerative spinal condition which requires a supportive mattress, and this one delivers. A very comfortable mattress to sleep on, but getting the softness right is paramount. We tried all the versions instore at Bensons for Beds and settled on the one we bought and it is just right. We were worried that foam mattresses get too hot, but ours doesn't, the mattress protector (same brand) also helps. Another plus is, it's not as heavy as our last mattress (sprung with foam topper) so it's a lot easier to fit the bottom sheet in place, but would have been perfect with a couple of handles on each side to assist.

Was a little skeptic about the mattress especially if it was worth the price. However I can honestly say it's not just lived up to the expectations but exceeded them substantially. Since we have had the mattress both myself and my wife have noticed a reduction in the normal aches and pains that we had learned to accept in the morning. Will it help you get to sleep not really, however when you do it's a more restful and comfortable experience. So yes it's a very good investment and well worth the expense.

I had been receiving a lot of negative opinions on going for the soft version of this mattress when torn between that and the medium, but for me, it's been perfect! I'm a chronic insomniac who travels for work, and to this day, I struggle to sleep on all kinds of mattresses, except for this one! It's been a massive change to my sleep and so beneficial! The new dawn of beautiful sleeping has begun. We are so happy and glad that we have bought Tempur Plus Smartcool Mattress. Our Tempur memory foam mattress took a couple of weeks to get used to as it is firmer than it felt in the shop (we chose medium/firm). However, we were reassured by the information on the Tempur website, which explained that it would take a week or so for the mattress to relax and soften. We are now having a great night' sleep on a comfortable, supportive mattress. And best of all - absolutely zero transfer of movement when either of us wriggle around!

This is our first Tempur mattress and after over a month of use we are delighted with it. What we noticed when trying Tempur in the shop was how even the support was over your whole body and over the last month this has got rid of various hip and back aches we used to suffer from with our old mattress. Sadly disappointed with this Tempur mattress as went for a medium to firm, tried the demonstrator mattress in showroom which was a medium to firm and that was a much softer mattress, hence why I went for it M/F. The reality is that I've been unable to sleep on it for 5 consecutive nights having to change bedroom through the night to get a comfortable sleep on guest bed. I am contacting Bensons about the new one to see if it can be exchanged.

The bed is super comfy, we love that we can't feel one another moving about as I toss and turn a lot. We got the recommended mattress topper along with the mattress however I feel that may have taken away some of the coolness from the top layer of the mattress as we have the matching pillows and can definitely feel the cooling element with just the pillowcase on. May be taking the mattress protector off during summer but amazing otherwise.

We made the mistake on laying on this mattress when in store, despite knowing we didn't intend on spending Tempur prices. After laying on this nothing else was going to be good enough so we purchased it. It already is well worth the money. Has taken some getting used to after being used to sprung mattresses, its not as easy to roll over as such but it is so incredibly supportive and really cuddles you, definitely would not change it now,

Best nights sleep I have had for years, since our last Tempur mattress in fact. A very comfortable mattress that provides plenty of support. No sagging, even when sitting on the edge. Its edges are frameless, meaning that it is pliable enough to bend somewhat if you need to move it up a flight of stairs - an important point as my first choice of mattress would not have fitted up the stairwell. The only disadvantage is the lack of handles, which might help when lifting the mattress to change bedding.

Very comfortable and sorted my back problems out from day one which was my main reason for purchasing. Smartcool technology doesn't seem effective - still find it much warmer than my previous non-memory foam mattress so don't think the extra cost is justified. Great mattress was more firm than our old one but that was a year older , this one is softening up and i am having great nights sleep on it . I would never buy any other mattress , and all of my family now have one , no bad backs ,no stiff necks just a full nights sleep wish id got one 40 years ago . Firstly I would like to say we received fantastic customer services from the start!! The delivery was painless and fast. The mattress at first was hard and we thought we had received the wrong product however after a few days the mattress started to become softer and softer. The mattress is very comfortable albeit quite heavy to move when changing the bedding. The body sinks into the mattress which does reshape when one moves. It is very kind to aching hips and knees, or back. We have a mattress cover but the shaping of the mattress can still be felt underneath. The mattress is warm. I would definitely buy again if the need arose, despite the cost.

Had a previous memory foam mattress but this is far superior. You instantly feel the benefit of the cooling layer, perfect body temperature - not too cold. This is our second tempur mattress, so we know what we were getting into. The last one lasted 15 years so we were ready for a new one. It was delivered on a very cold day, so wasn't flexible enough to go round the turn in the stairs, but after having the heating on a couple of hours we managed to get it up easily ourselves. Cant recommend this mattress enough. Previously i suffered in pain on previous mattress but this is so comfortable and having good nights sleep now and don't seem to wake as much. Mattress is expensive but its something u will get use out of so worth paying that bit extra for the comfort. We did however get a great discount on it with bensons.

We chose the firm one. It is lovely and comfortable. Takes a bit of getting used since it definitely feels different to lie on, but can't fault the comfort. Had it a few weeks only so can't vouch for the longevity. I would recommend it but I don't think everyone would like the feel so strongly advise a thorough try in store first.

Had Tempur Cloud for 12 years. Despite not being sure of the new Cool version, it has been absolutely fabulous. It regulates your temperature to a perfect sleeping temperature, neither too hot nor too cool, just absolutely perfect. This mattress is absolutely fantastic! Having a manual job means I sometimes suffer with sore shoulder and a bad back but I've had this mattress for over a month now and haven't suffered with any more pain! I love the way it moulds to your body, like a hug to your spine. It's pricey but 100% worth it! Super comfy!

Best sleep in years, most comfortable mattres ever. I would absolutely recomend this item and not the most expensive available. Waking up in pain is the thing of the past(at least for now). Excellent mattress, sleeping better than I have done in a long time. It just moulds to your shape and then goes back to flat again when you get up. Expensive, but worth every penny. I have only had my mattress for less than a month so am still getting use to it. It said firm on the label and it certainly is. I hope it will improve my posture. The only downside is that I did not factor in that electric blanket use is not advisable as it 'interferes' with the Tempur technology.

Bought a month ago. Really comfy and the cooling is great. Not had back or shoulder pain since changing to this mattress. Would recommend if you've tried other foam mattresses and not got on with them like us. Was good that it came with two pillows for free too which also have cooling technology.

This mattress lives up to its description. When we first received it I thought we had ordered the wrong one. We opted for medium/firm. However, right from the first night we have slept brilliantly. We also had the pillows but we opted for medium in them. The best decision we have made!!

New aches everywhere! It's probably due to the fact we've never had this type of mattress before. It seems very well made but unfortunately this mattress isn't for us. Bensons have been amazing and we are currently waiting on a different mattress being delivered and this one collected.

Some would say expensive and I did when I went to buy it . Having spent three hours trying beds around the shop it was the choice of both myself and my wife . It was a great choice. We've had the bed about a month and I'm sleeping really well . I couldn't have chosen a better bed .

10/10 Bed is really comfortable. Very pleased with the Tempur mattress. Well worth the money. Wasn't pleased with the delivery service which was shocking. Complained all the time and were rude to friends visiting during the time they were at our home 1/10 for delivery experience

Best mattress I've ever slept on. At 69 years old I've experienced quite a few!!! It quickly forms around your body giving you total support. I would highly recommend the tempur mattress to anyone. Well worth paying that bit extra I believe. The tempur pillow is also excellent.

The medium firmness is just right for us. As advised at the time of purchase the mattress is firm to start with but after a couple of weeks the foam pockets start to break down and now we are getting fantastic support from the mattress resulting in improved sleep.

The mattress is very comfortable and supportive. Easy to lift to change the bedding. The smartcool mattress works very well for me and I hardly have any disturbed sleep. I am not so sure about the tempur pillow as I have had neck discomfort since using it.

Fantastic Tempur mattress & pillows. Only took a couple of nights to adjust. Feeling the orthopaedic benefits already. Not convinced that the matching Tempur fitted sheet was worth the money though and not as "tight fitting" as I was led to believe.
