This matress is so ridiculously comfortable. We chose firm and it's perfect, it's good for my partner's back and soft enough for me to feel completely cozy. When we roll over in the night its not felt by the other person at all. Having a Superking has given us the best nights sleep, neither of us disturb the other at all during the night. It's very deep so any bed with it would be fine - but I got a Duvan without thinking about it and I do feel like the princess and the pea, being about 4 foot high up! I got some great advice in the store, Inverness staff were very patient and knowledgeable. I think this is the best choice I could have made and I absolutely feel it has been worth the money - I got it for 999 and although it felt like a crazy amount at the time, the quality of sleep we've enjoyed has made it so so worth it. I also bought the matress protection which came with 2 matress protectors which I would recommend, it gives me piece of mind for the expensive purchase and also meant I didn't need to spend even more on a protector.

very comfy mattress, super supportive - we got firm, the chemical smell was quite overwhelming, apparently it is best to air the mattress for a few days before using but in reality they take away your old one, you need to sleep on it that night, so for one week I stripped bed every morning opened all windows and aired it, then google suggested sprinkling with bicarb of soda and then hoover off as it absorbs the smell, seems to be ok now but never had that before. My only other little niggles were there was a black skid mark on mattress when still inside the polythene bag?I used a magic eraser to remove it, and the delivery lads only wanted to do absolute minimum dump and run, they took old one away left new one still in bag leaning against bedroom wall. I asked if they can please put it on the bed especially as I am disabled and there was no way I could lift a super king size mattress onto the bed, which he then did after being asked.

My wife suffers with joint and back issues and took pains (sorry for this pun) in choosing our next bed. This one stood out for her from all the many tried, although she was still concerned despite its comfort she would find it hard getting used to any new mattress, as many people do. So far, 2-3 weeks in, her fears are unfounded and she has spoken of the new mattress only in glowing terms. Im very pleased for her and relieved for me! The members of staff who served us in store were spot on, very helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable. We didnt feel pressured or anything, just a great service all round. The delivery day too was a smooth service as promised. Our new Eve guest bed mattress too is a hit, really comfy, purchased in the same store at the same time, along with three amazing new pillows. Glad we chose this one! It is always a worry when only testing in shop for a few minutes so the 40 nights sleep guarantee was reassuring. Now slept on it for 24 nights and am happy to say that we will be keeping it, really good comfortable nights sleep and feels supportive without being hard/too firm. Quality mattress delivered along with lower height bed base due to the increased depth of the mattress, by polite, efficient Bensons delivery team at the time advised. Only drawback is that our old standard double sheets would have been too skimpy for such a deep mattress, we had thought of this and purchased suitable ones prior to delivery. As with all mattresses with a topper pad no flipping over required, thank goodness as it is very heavy. Just turning around so we are able to rotate it around on base as per instructions.

Very comfortable mattress. We purchased an Emma mattress but was waking up wit pains in shoulder and neck. We were not happy with the Emma purchase especially after spending 750. We decided to return it and go in store and test the mattresses Bensons for Bed had to offer. The assistant was very helpful and showed us 3/4 mattresses in our price range. We were explained the differences between how they make their mattresses and how companies like Emma make there's and it was clear there was a quality difference and this was translating to the comfort. Although we increased our budget by another 250 I think it was worth it and we have been getting great night sleep. This mattress was also a LOT higher so fit our frame much better! Please avoid Emma and go in store and try better quality mattresses!

I purchased a double not a single mattress and, at the time of writing, have been sleeping on it for two weeks. So far it is comfortable but there is no dramatic difference to my sleep or to the pain in my back that I experience each morning on rising. Neither of those may be anything to do with the mattress and are certainly no worse than they were and may be a little better. I was told it took 40 days to get used to a new mattress and I am not near that time yet so the jury is out. I purchased a whole new bed to downsize from a super-king and the additional space in my bedroom is much appreciated together with the fact that I can now turn the mattress unaided. It is clearly a good quality product and the service I have had has been excellent.

Myself and my partner purchased this mattress in medium firm from the Barrow in Furness Bensons store approximately 6 weeks ago. The mattress is really comfortable and has eased the back pain I was suffering with. The mattress is quite tall and I found its now much easier getting in and out of bed now but the height took a week or two to get used to as previously we had a mattress around half the height of this one previously. The only disadvantage I can think of is that our old fitted sheets wouldn't fit so we had to buy special deep fitted sheets to go on the new mattress. I would recommend this mattress to anyone looking for a good pocket sprung mattress with great depth to it that won't break the bank.

Really liked the shop. I was able (indeed I was encouraged) to wander round, try out all the beds, ask any questions and generally offer all the assistance I needed without felling pressured in any way. Even the delivery of the bed was easy. The guys turned up, took my old bed away, installed the new one, made sure I was happy with what they had done and left - all with about 40 minutes. I have now had the bed for a month and have rotated the mattress as recommended and it is wonderful! Most of the 'new bed' smell has gone and I am getting an excellent night's sleep every night. What can I say. It cost 1,000+ so I would hope it gave a good nights sleep and it does. Just as good as my 40yrs old one. Not sure about the Clima Airstream gimmick. I still wake up sweating. Also, a little perturbed to read the care instructions state not to sit on the edge of the bed. I'm 65 yrs with chronic lung disease, I walked into Bensons with a walker carrying 2 oxygen tanks. I'm going to spend time on the edge of the bed catching my breath!! The assistant didn't mention anything about where to sit on the mattress at time of purchase. I hope I haven't made an expensive mistake.

Absolutely great service from the Redhill store. We were allowed to take our time which made sure we got the right mattress for us. As for communication we were kept informed at all times both before and after delivery and post sale tips for how to care for our mattress have been very helpful. The mattress itself has transformed our sleep, it is extremely comfortable, very supportive and an absolute dream to sleep on. Best night's sleep for a very long time, mattress doesn't sag at the sides when you sit on the edge of the bed. The wife needs a step at the side of the bed to get on it, cos she's only got little legs . It relaxes you as soon as you are in bed and aids a quick drop off. Noticed I stay asleep in the same position all night, as I used to wake up several times a night with my last bed. Mostly definitely worth the money, plus it puts you in the mood to redecorate the bedroom before it comes .'

Shortly after I paid for the bed and set a delivery date months later in July, the "How did we do" review requests started Now the bed had arrived and I've slept in it, I can say it's very comfortable, but Bensons really need to start asking for reviews AFTER the deliveries The delivery arrived in a tatty old Harveys van, but there was no issue with the delivery guys, who delivered everything I ordered (pillow, mattress, protectors) as well as collecting the old mattress without any fuss.

Absolutely love the mattress we bought, so comfortable and think! The sales lady was very approachable, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. There was no sales pressure like we had in Dreams, , who followed us round the showroom. It put us off and walked out of there. She even managed to get us a discount on our purchase, which was great. I love my new bed with its Slumberland Air 9.0 mattress. It was worth every Penny we spent on it to get a good night's sleep. I wanted a comfortable & snuggly but supportive mattress as I was waking up with a bad back. This mattress is lovely, it's extremely deep so I feel like the Princess and the pea, but it's great and my back ache is much improved, I no longer have that nagging ache when I wake up. Standard fitted sheets didn't quite reach but extra deep ones are widely available and inexpensive and are comfortably able to cover it.

We are all loving our new bed, including the dog. It's nice to know that I won't roll out of bed in the night with the extra support from the sides of the mattress. The memory foam top gives a nice cozy feel to the bed too and I think this is the favourite feature of the dog as she loves to roll from side to side wriggling her legs in the air. Alas it doesn't have the exact same affect on us but still very comfy.

lovely thick matress, moulds to your body, very supportive. However we have a problem with it, it gives off a damp / mouldy odour. We aired it all day on delivery and have done so every day since but the odour still lingers. It makes the bedding smell as well as us after sleeping on it. I have to say that Benson's were fantastic and have sorted us a replacement, I hope that it won't smell like this one does.

The service from entering the store to the delivery of the mattress was first class. The salesman advised us knowing exactly what I was looking for. The texts between the store and myself was exactly as promised right to the 30 mins before they arrived. The guys were polite and cheery and were only too happy to help. After a horrendous experience with another 'Reputable' retailer, I attended my local store knowing there was an option to have my pressure points mapped and suitable mattresses recommended Opting for the Slumberland 9.0 medium was the best decision I could have made. Delivery was on time and couriers very helpful and careful of our property. However, a reminder to take off the corner packaging would have been helpful. Didnt realise how thick the mattress is - my wife is shortish and it is like a mountaineering adventure for her (she suffers with arthiritis). I've had my new bed & mattress coming up to 4 weeks .. It's a very nice & comfortable mattress BUT as the FITTED KINGSIZE SHEETS DONT FIT PROPERLY AS top of mattress is to thin as fitted sheets are double the depth and we have to make the bed EVERY DAY , we've looked for shorter depth sheets but can't find so it's JUST A LITTLE BIT OF A PAIN to keep sheet in place ..

This is the best mattress we have ever owned and at our ages we have had a few it gives support in all the right places the build is of very good quality the only one down point is why did you only put a handle on one end it makes turning just that bit harder as the mattress is quite heavy and when you get old you need all the help you can get but still a great buy .

Much bigger, ie taller than my previous mattress. I think this is because of the topper. Luckily I am quite tall so getting into bed isn't too much trouble. Previously I could sit on the side of the bed with my feet touching the floor but now my feet are 4 inches above the floor. Having said that the mattress itself is very comfortable compared to my previous one.

Very comfortable mattress, slept on it for a few weeks now and it is just perfect if you like a medium mattress that feels like it'll stay that way. It's very deep so beware of that if you are small and my only criticism is that the edges squash quite a lot when you sit on them so I'm not sure how it'll fare in the long term at the edges.

So far so good. I've had this mattress 3 weeks so far and it's comfortable. It's very high with the topper so that takes a bit of getting used to as my bed is already quite high off the floor. Summer will be the big test to see how cooling it is. Can't comment on anything else other than Benson's did a good job from start to finish.

A very comfortable mattress, you sink into the top few centimetres then the firm bottom part supports your body keeping your spine straight thus giving a very comfortable good nights sleep. the only downside is the total thickness of the mattress making it quite high, my shortish wife has trouble getting into bed.

My slumberland mattress is heavenly. Admittedly I've to get a step up to get into it, but, once I'm in it and cuddled into it I feel I'm in dreamland. It's soooooo comfortable and mmmmmmm I feel I never want to get up!!! However I know I must, but, I look forward to going back into it , it's well worth the money .

I would definitely recommend the air 9 mattress. I could no longer get comfortable sleeping on an Emma mattress. After injuries sustained in a car accident.I woke in pain everyday. Very comfortable, my husband says it is the best bed he has ever slept on. Due to rotate it but not as heavy as our other mattresses have been. Quite a high mattress which is great as the children can't climb up. Feels like it's fantastic quality, firm but the topping makes it soft at the same time.

Getting a great night's sleep on this new mattress. Just the right amount of firmness. It is a tad heavy to move but we knew that when we bought it. The biggest downside is finding fitted sheets to fit. I'm now onto my third try! These were 65 each so I'm hoping for success.

Live this mattress, best nighrs dleep I have had in a long time, only disappointment was that it arrived very grubby in 1 corner and had no response regarding this from Bensons. Dont expect anything to be dirty on arrival when paying over 1400.00 for a bed after discount

Comfortable mattress, it has softened quite quickly, only had it for two weeks so I'm hoping it doesn't continue to get any softer. Very heavy so difficult to turn if space is tight but overall much better than the mattress it replaced.

Mattress is lovely and comfortable but arrived damaged as Did the base. Clearly quality control at the factory missed two huge oil Stains and forgot one of the base feet. The base then had to be sliced open to connect the final foot.

It's a very comfortable mattress, gives support but not too hard, I'm a side sleeper so perfect for me. The only downside is with the base it's on the mattress is very high so if you choose this make sure you go with the right base.
