Finding the right mattress as a back sleeper can be quite the journey, and my recent experience with the Simply By Bensons Bliss Mattress was informative. The medium tension, which is generally marketed towards a wide range of sleepers, presented some challenges for me. Given my preference for a slightly firmer base to support my back properly, this mattress felt a tad too yielding. The open coil spring system, although popular in many beds, didn't provide the stable, supportive feel I find necessary to maintain proper spinal alignment throughout the night.
Despite these challenges, there were definitely positive aspects to the mattress. The deep relaxing comfort layer provided a cozy, enveloping feel which was quite pleasant initially. This feature, coupled with the mattress's environmentally friendlier components, appeals to my preference for sustainable products. While the medium tension didn't ideally suit my needs as a back sleeper, I could see this mattress being more beneficial for lighter individuals or those who sleep on their sides and prefer a softer sleeping surface. The overall build and quality of the mattress suggested durability and ease of maintenance, which are important factors for long-term satisfaction.
