Why our sleep experts loved it
We recently reviewed the alternative model to this one featuring the pillow top. This one comes in slightly different with a plush top and so today we will be talking about the difference and the benefits of buying this great product. Fortunately the core mechanics of the iGel Advance 3000 stay the same making it a great mattress for all types of sleepers. It has a comfortable, cooling design with targeted support thanks to those luxurious and plentiful pocket springs. What’s more there is additional durability that comes with pocket springs over traditional open coil springs, making it a great investment that will last a considerable period (hence the 10 year guarantee as standard).
So what is the difference between this model and the pillow top model? A pillow top mattress is a type of mattress that has an extra layer of padding sewn into the top of the bed while a plush top mattress is a type of mattress that has an especially thick layer of padding on top. The extra padding on a pillow top mattress is a bit more moderate than the extra padding on a plush top mattress and so if you really want a mattress that is extra thick and soft, you will probably want a plush top mattress.
But who else is the product suitable for? To start the iGel Advance 3000i Plush Top is great for people who are sensitive to heat. It has open-cell technology that allows air to circulate throughout the mattress, keeping you cool and comfortable while the graphene infused memory foam reports to be 7 times better at keeping you cool over traditional memory foam. The iGel Advance 3000i is also great for people who want targeted support as the 3000 springs work with the gel foam comfort layer to give a plush feel that cradles you with a supportive hug. Finally you have the medium tension designation against the product, this gives maximum suitability as the firmness on display works for back sleepers and side sleepers a-like.
Who won’t enjoy this mattress? It’s difficult to say, iGel as a brand has got so many things right with this product that there isn’t much left to really be able to criticise. We’re not just saying that either, but when you pair 3000 pocket springs with an advanced high-performance better-than-memory-foam layer, you get a degree of satisfaction that is difficult to dissuade against. The one barrier we would say is around the price point, it’s one that alienates many of those invested in buying a product like this and will leave many in the budget and mid-range sectors missing out on experiencing it.
The overarching benefits of this and the pillow top model are the same, you get an impressive guarantee that beats off many of the sub-bar offerings in the rest of the industry. Same too with the choice of spring system and even the cover with its unique FreshNow™ moisture wicking component adds to what is a great experience.
Reviews for the iGel Advance 3000i Plush Top Mattress won’t come in for a few more weeks as this is a brand new model at time of writing. That said though, we’ve seen this configuration before and it performs exceptionally well in all typical circumstances. It’s a shame the barrier for entry and cost-to-play is so high in this instance as I have very little doubt this mattress can improve most peoples nights sleep.
