Slumberland Divan Base On Glides

I find the bed not as easy to move around on 'glides' as the other was on wheels; apart from that it is great! Want to thank the Delivery men (2) I think Michael was the name of the gentleman who put the bed together for me, and he was polite, helpful and efficient. The one thing Bensons could improve on is stating clearly that there is a charge for 'erecting' the beds delivered. that was not on my radar until the delivery men asked whether I had paid it.........! I do think communications might be looked at, to save embarrassment for customers.

Base seems solid and it fit together easily, the draws are a really good size as well, the reason I only gave it 4 stars rather than 5 was the absolutely filthy state the outside plastic cover was in when it was delivered and I'm not talking about just a bit of normal dust but really thick black manky stuff that looked more like soot and covered my fingertips when I ran them over, thankfully I had put a couple of clean dustsheets down in the bedroom as if not the thick black dust would have been all over my cream bedroom carpet

Fantastic delivery policy/plan. Kept informed on purchase progress throughout. Delivery people pleasant and efficient, no problems taking divan base upstairs and getting it through doorway. Base put together easily by my husband. Lovely solid divan. Lift from front opening system very easy to use, not too heavy at all and feels safe and sturdy. Amazed at how much we are able to store in the base, which has played the key part in storage solution to our new bedroom layout. So pleased with this purchase.

I decided I wanted a new bed base, and mattress, after looking around found Bensons for Beds, the best place to go, I am very pleased with my purchase. I was kept informed that my delivery was on schedule, and on the day received a phone call as to what time to expect my delivery. everyone from the sales gentleman to the delivery personnel, my new base was put together before delivery men left, and they also took my old mattress. So I had no worries about anything. Thank you Bensons for Beds.

Great divan. Quality work and quality finish in materials and finiah. The drawers work a dream. My only suggestion is a fix for headboards. The build does not account for skirting, (so gap between top of headboard and wall, with fixing bolts a fulcrom for breakage), so risk of breaking the comparatively weak bolts when sitting up against them. This is a known and longstanding issue with all headboards. There are ingenious fixes all worth the patent, oops just lost my million dollar idea

Excellent service overall from Bensons. I wanted a divan base with 4 drawers and the sales person was helpful and knowledgeable about the options available to me. I chose this one as the drawers are slightly bigger than standard. No complaints at all about the bed. It is good quality, the drawers have ample space and a lovely soft close mechanism. The delivery team were respectful and professional. I would have no problem recommending Bensons or this bed to anyone.

Although elderly and not too strong (but handy) I managed to assemble this double bed sized base myself - it comes in two halves which clip together and these are not heavy. I am pleased with the end product. It matches the headboard with two sizeable drawers and easy glide castors that just slot on easily. The headboard can go on at either end (the screw holes are marked) so the drawers can be at either the top or bottom end of the bed..

From entering the Huddersfield showroom to taking delivery the whole experience has been very rewarding. The sale expert explained the various divers, allowed us to test them and arraigned a convenient delivery. On delivery day we were contacted by the driver giving A.T.E which we noted when they arrived was close enough to be commented on, Well done driver. The fitting of the beds and clearing up were all as promised. All in all excellent.

Although the bed is comfy, it is too heavy for me to move. The glides do not, and perhaps castors would have been more useful to me. The mattress is too heavy for me to lift to tuck the sheets in. The drawers, 2+2 are useful for bed linen. A young person should have no difficulty moving and making the bed. The Installers did a great job and manoeuvred it easily. I would recommend this comfortable bed

This bed base is a game changer .......The construction and finish has an excellent quality finish giving a huge amount of storage space, divided into 2 sections length ways, effectively keeping the room completely free of any clutter.... The outer fabric covering is a really perfect colour and a good quality. It was delivered on time ,assembled and all rubbish removed . A very happy customer !

An excellent divan base, solidly made, covered in a textured woven grey fabric of our choice. The glides are very much preferred and more suitable than castors on this item of furnishing. The four drawers (two shorter at the headboard end to account for bedside units) are spacious, easy to open and close and fairly silent on their runners. A very nice product and base for our new mattress.

The bed is fine but delivered with a broken drawer is disappointing. The drawer was wrapped up broken so the factory is at fault, not delivery. After struggling to get someone to speak to me about this problem, I resorted to e.mailing the company. Over 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting for a reply. Very disppointing! I feel that nobody is interested once they got their money.

When delivered, two of the drawer runners were not attached to the drawer and left to rattle around loose hidden inside the divan frame. Even now, the drawers faces themselves are poorly fit against the main body and the rollers are flimsy. Combine this with how unhelpful the paid install service were when it was delivered and "installed", I would not recommend this.

It's a two man job to put the base together - I attempted it solo however one of the securing plastic clips came away but managed to sort this with some good neighbour help. Very good quality and a lovely design/colour choice. The mattress is unbelievably comfortable - what with this combined with the darker mornings, I do not want to get out of my nice comfy bed!

We were looking for a high quality very comfortable bed at a reasonable cost. We visited many bed shops and looked online, Bensons had by far the best quality beds and at reasonable prices, our bed is so comfortable we are very happy with it. The in store service was also excellent. We will always use Bensons from now on and highly recommend them.

Pleased with my purchase. My mattress sit firmly on the bed base. We assembled the bed ourself. One thing I would ask from the manufacturer is to redesigned the mounting holes for the bed headboard. It is abit fidelity to screw the headboard bolt onto the bed. Otherwise, it is easy to do self assembly saving some money towards the purchase.

Enjoying my new bed from Bensons my Slumberland king size divan base is very comfortable thought at first it was going to be to firm but no getting used to it with the divan the amount you can store is amazing I honestly was going to get a new wardrobe not now with the amount you can store is brilliant love it cheers Hartley.

Delivered on time and drivers helpful. When put in place one of the divan drawers doesn't close easily due to excess of fabric on the corner so you have to force closure of drawer . Not a major issue but a flaw none the less . Screws for the headboard could be more pointed to penetrate the fabric into the fixing sleeve .

Its great the only comment I would have is, I can't open the drawers near my bedside cabinets without having to move them. Not the end of world but wondered if they could make the headboard end drawers to have a split opening so you don't have to keep moving the bedside cabinets? Love the bed though, would recommend!

Good communication from start to finish, drawer in divan was broken on delivery but the delivery driver contacted the company to report and a new half of the divan was reordered and delivered to time. I would recommend this product as it high quality for a reasonable price would use again if and when required.

Only used the bed this past week Very stiff to lift the ottoman to open but hopefully in time it might get easier Love the colour and the style gives quite a lot of storage space Just a warning my cat wants to use it for a scratch pad so banned from my room .. maybe get a scratch post in the room l

The only annoying thing is the setting of the drawers! Hard to explain but the bottom of the drawers are the bottom of the base so if I go to move bed, I likely happen to choose drawer area to pull and, of course, end up pulling drawer open! Just a niggle, otherwise base is good with the gliders.

We ordered the ottoman version and it is perfect for us. Easy to fit the suspension struts (though Bensons will do it for you if you wish) and it provides lots of storage. Even with the mattress on the bed the ottoman is easy to access and the lifting arrangement is well balanced. Great design.

Had our bed for two weeks very happy up till now I have changed the mattress round as advices but looks like one side has a dip in it already will keep an eye on it but overall it is very comfortable my partner and myself are getting up with no aches or pains symptoms

It's the most comfortable bed I've ever owned I was dissatisfied with the delivery as I was told it would be unpacked and built but it wasn't . I was given free delivery on my further order from the shop . I had to pay for it to be assembled as I'm disabled

Nice quality covering with good quality timber on the frame and drawers. Nice Height when sitting on the bed too. Only issue was the amount of staples used in the strap to keep the drawers closed, took a while to pull them all out, otherwise very happy

A great base, we had four draws and will remember not to put as much in as we did with our old base. The draws were nearly the same size as our old base and they should last longer due to amount we are putting in them. All in all happy with purchase

Love the extra space the storage is great. The only drawback is it's heavy to lift up when the mattress is on you need muscles I would recommend for an older or weaker person. You also need to be aware most mattresses are thick making the bed high.

Very difficult to get the two bits to line up as the fixing brackets had been placed incorrectly at factory , so we are using it but it is not lined up as it should , we were told it would be done be celery guys but that was not the cause

This base is absolutely brilliant. Well made, easy to lift up for storage & pull down. Loads of storage space underneath, only wish I had bought one sooner. Very helpful & polite salesman & excellent delivery. Highly recommended

Looks and feels really nice. The half drawer is really useful. Only downside is that the gliders don't move as well on the carpet as coasters. I've stuck adhesive ones on the bottom of all 8 and have noticed slight improvement.

It sounds corny but the new mattress/bed is very very comfortable and we've had some great night's sleep since purchase. We chose a bed with storage draws, which makes it very practical for of bedding. and other bulky items.

I found this base last year and bought it in a double , this year I bought a king size one so both bedrooms have the same. It is good quality and the navy is a lovely colour. The gliders work perfectly too even on carpet.

THIS DIVAN BASE BY SLUMBERLAND IS AMAZING. I LOVE THE GLIDES WHICH HELP TO MOVE THE BED EASILY, BUT EVEN BETTER IS THAT THESE DRAWERS ACTUALLY WORK! I.E. THEY MOVE IN AND OUT VERY EASILY, SUCH A BRILLIANT SELLING POINT.

Excellent product, easy to install and position. Has two drawers that provide the storage requirements for our needs. With the Slumberland Air 3.0 mattress addition a lovely nights sleep is consistent and appreciated.

The base is really good and fits with what we were looking for. We ordered the wooden feet but we got the metallic ones delivered. It's not an issue as you can barely see them, but it would be my only negative comment.

The whole experience was amazing buying are bed trying out mattresses. The Bed we chose suits all ar3 needs and we are having fantastic sleeos and the extra storagge we have means we have reduced furniture in bedroom.

Had a problem with slight damage on the original bed, contacted customer service at Bensons, sent photos, advised replacement would be sent, replacement arrived two weeks later without any quibbles. Excellent service.

Good base, drawers are easy to open and close. Good depth for storage of bedding as it makes it easier to change the bedding weekly. Love the colour of the base and easy to keep fresh and clean with a wipe down.

Good, sturdy base. Nice colour. Having one large and one small drawer per side is a good combination , as we can open top drawer without moving bedside cabinets. Would recommend this base. Although not cheap.

Delighted with our very comfortable bed Delivered on time although the delivery guys said they weren't assembling it as it wasn't stated on their note, was sorted out with their office and bed was assembled.

Overall, great. However, I was expecting the glides to be made out of metal due to its price point, it was a surprise when I realised that they're actually plastic, which is obviously cheaper to manufacture.

My slumberland bed is heavenly. The storage space is really good. Everyone at Bensons have been wonderful. They had to keep my bed for 4 months until I moved into my new property. All staff very helpful.

This ottoman base was easy to assemble, strong and sturdy. It has eaten all of our belongings leaving our wardrobes just for clothes. If you use a heavy mattress it is easy to close. Great buy

Purchased the ottoman base so we would not lose storage space. It was assembled by Bensons when delivered and works perfectly. Build quality is very good and not too much effort to open/close.

Love it, l now have 2 extra draws in this base.which as given me some much needed space. All fitted so easily together, also instead of wheels it had gliders brilliant. Price very reasonable.

Having had my old bed for a very long time I was worried that I would never get another so comfortable so took along time in choosing but this bed has lived up to my expectations.

We purchased the full size ottoman version of the base. It is well made, and the opening mechanism makes it easy for anyone to lift. The storage size is huge and fully accessible.

Well made and competitive price, would have got five stars apart from sliders. When the mattress is added the weight is too great to move the bed on a carpet. Had to fit castors.

Base was easy to put together - linking the halves so simple the drawers fit well and slide easily. The base glides mean little effort is needed to move the base and mattress

I am very happy with the base, however although the driver photographed the dirty marks that were under the wrapping, I have heard nothing from Bensons regarding the issue.

The bed is good no problems so far. The assembling of the bed was quick. However the delivery was far fetched. The bed took over two weeks to be delivered. Hence four stars

Lovely made bed. Drawers are quite deep and gives so much extra space. Joins by interlocking parts inside the base rather metal rods in the outside - much better designed.

Great purchase. Sales experience was good, as we were not badgered and hounded, but knew the sales rep was there for advise when needed. Delivery service was excellent.

The bed is used for visitors in my spare room so I have not tested personally, however I have been told by a visitor they liked the mattress and slept very well in it.

It's a lovely bed but find that it is a little weightly to pull back down from the up position. All other aspects of the bed are perfect. Masses of storage space.

Good solid divan a really nice colour and the draws are great. Wish they had handles or little pulls on them but can get to them from the bottom to pull it open

Unfortunately one of the drawers had its runners missing not noticed at delivery and assembley and put in place but unusable Took ages to sort out on the phone

The drawers were a priority for me. I needed the 2 small and 2 larger ones. This bed offered the deepest, but also the smoothest closing and sturdiest drawers.

Made to a good standard. Delivery on time made by friendly and helpful people. More experience than some alternatives but worthwhile for quality and service.

The base we bought was an ottoman base rather than a divan base. The ottoman base fits in the bedroom perfectly and compliments the mattress and headboard,

Great looking item, sturdy and strong... however if your not the strongest, the gas struts are a little over the top compared to previous ones I have had...

Good height. Bought the one without drawers and is a solid base. Had drawers before and they were easily broken. Have to say the solid base is much better.

The base is fine but I couldn't clip it together so I am having to wait for my son to do it for me, unfortunately he has injured his knee so still waiting.

Just ideal for mattress and great storage drawers . Like the narrower drawers at top end of base as there is no need to move bedside cabinets when opened

Does the job, but the designs not changed in 30 Years, drawers in particular are primitive, easy slide& soft close Are provided in most basic drawers,

The ottoman holds plenty bedding on one side and a variety of articles on the other. Much easier to manage than drawers as you have full access to it.

So easy to use the ottoman Base thought with a heavy mattress it would be difficult but so easy to lift and so much space underneath. Great colour too.

The bed base is ideal with 2 large drawers and 2 smaller draws at the top allowing for a bedside table/ cabinet. The build quality is also good.

Extremely comfortable with soft but firm support. It has helped to relieve back and hip pain. Not a cheap product but we feel it was worth it.
