Why our sleep experts loved it
Hello to hotel owners and other contract personnel! I am so excited to share my thoughts on the Shire Rainbow Contract Mattress with you all. I know the importance of a good night's sleep - and so do my guests which is why I was thrilled to give the Rainbow a try in my guest room.
First of all, let's talk about the comfort trial. The Rainbow offers a 60 night trial, which I think is such a great feature. It gives you (and your guests) the chance to really test out the mattress and see if it's the right fit. And let me tell you, it definitely was for us. See, we'll go into the comfort and support shortly, but just being able to exchange for a more suitable model meant that I didn't have to worry about trying the mattress in-store beforehand. Better than that, where would you even try a specialist contract mattress? Even thought Mattress Online and other premium retailers have brick and mortar store footprints, they can't showcase every product and contract products are unlikely to make the cut. Alas, the trial is nice, but what of the specifications? Let's dive in.
Starting with the medium firmness of the Rainbow was just perfect - not too soft, not too firm. We typically recommend this type of tension for anyone of average weight who sleepers in a combination fashion, or, dedicated to your back or side. The support layer itself is made up of traditional open coil springs provided excellent support given the lower than average price point, although pocket springs win outright when it comes to quality. I also love that the mattress is double-sided, so you can flip it over and extend its lifespan for many years more thanks to the additional surface area and better settlement.
One of the standout features of the Rainbow, in my opinion, is the 100% cotton cover. It's so soft and breathable, which really helps to keep you cool while you sleep. And let's not forget that the Rainbow is handcrafted right here in the UK, which I think is a major plus. It supports our economy and reduces the environmental impact of transportation.
I also appreciate that the Rainbow complies with BS7177:2008 Source 5 - Medium Hazard regulations. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my guests are sleeping on a product that meets high safety standards. It's not really a choice either, as the Source 5 rating is required for anyone operating hotels, holiday lets and rental properties.
The Rainbow is also approved by the National Bed Federation, which is another assurance of quality. The National Bed Federation (NBF) is a trade association in the UK that represents manufacturers, distributors, and retailers of beds and bedding products. The organisation promotes the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability in the bed industry by certifying products that meet its standards.
In conclusion, I am thoroughly impressed with the Shire Rainbow Contract Mattress. It's comfortable, supportive, and well-made - everything you could want in a guest room mattress. I highly recommend it for anyone in need of a new mattress for their home or business. Happy sleeping!
