I have purchased this mattress last month and Ive been using it for 3weeks now since it was delivered. After a year, I finally decided to buy my own mattress, since I am renting a room, and bed provided is not that good - which we all know. Having this mattress is worth all the penny for me, because its comfortable and suits my preference for sleeping. Whenever I wake-up, I always feel so rested and I havent experienced any back pain - which I always experience from my previous mattresses.I think the shape on top of the bed and its memory foam layer adds more comfort and support during sleep. Which is so appropriate for me since I always feel tired from working all day at the hospital. Handling wise, its easy as it have 2 handles on the side for better grip and help in rotating and moving the matress. In terms of the price, its budget friendly as its not that expensive. The initial recommended for me was so expensive, but when I saw this and asked about the mattress, its almost similar to what was recommended and its perfect because it suits my budget too! Wise decision, isnt? Comfortable and affordable! Specially for those who wants a good mattress but on a tight budget. In the future Is like to purchase the same product or even the next higher one with good comfort too. I am beyond satisfied with this product!

I've been using this mattress for just over two weeks, and before delivery i became concerned by the memory foam topping it has (3cm thick and non-removable) also because, if for any reason you don't like it, you can't turn the mattress over and sleep on the other side as i've been told that this mattress is really single-sided. well, all that concern was for nothing. it's supposed to be medium-firm, but to me it feels like it's firm, but with a soft topping layer. the combination makes for the best sleeping experience i've ever had. in truth, i had no idea that you could even be this comfortable in a bed. I tried it out in the shop of course, and you should too, because even those few minutes i spent on it were enough to convince me to buy it over two others. however, that didn't quite deliver the same experience that spending an entire night on it would, tossing and turning, and stretching yourself over it. it's expensive, there's no getting around that, but consider this: on average, you spend about 7 hours out of every day in a bed, more than on any other furniture, which justifies your investment. honestly, this is definitely some of the best money i ever spent. if you're looking for a new mattress, then you owe it to yourself to at least trying it out.

Being a former professional furniture upholsterer for 20 years in the United States, I can attest to the quality of the headboard and divan base and I am very satisfied with the purchase. I just moved from the United States to join my new British wife who has lived in England for 54 years. We had been apart for about 1 year due to Covid-19 after getting married in the US last year. Once I finally arrived here, we decided to get a new bed and decided to shop at Dreams. We didn't even need to shop elsewhere since we found the perfect divan base, headboard, and mattress. The new salesperson was great as well as the more experienced salespeople. Everything went very smooth and we absolutely love the new bed. Very good mattress and superbly made but unfortunately it was too firm for my needs. I should have gone for a medium one really but i liked this one in the shop when i tried it. But when sleeping on it i found i could not relax properly for my needs as i wasn't used to a firm mattress. However that said it gave great support and would recommend Swaffham If you want a firm mattress. Dreams were very understanding and gave me a quick refund on return as i had only had it a few days and was still in pristine condition. The fees for delivery were extortionate though as i paid the delivery fee of 55 and the afternoon slot fee 29 then i had to repeat all this when i returned it as well so i paid it twice so i was a total of 170 out of pocket for the delivery fees and slots - which is outrageous!

I went through a bit of a whirlwind with Dreams. First mattress was the Flaxby, which had a weird bumpy top layer I didnt like, luckily due to mattress fault I was able to change to the Campbell. The Campbell whilst super soft like a cloud didnt offer enough support to my back. So I changed it to the Johnstone via the comfort guarantee. The Johnstone though is something else. Really comfortable, you sink into the Memory Foam layer at the top whilst feeling the support in your back which stops your hips from sinking in too far and causing back pain. Id recommend this too anyone with back pain. I only had ONE slight comment and that it seems to be slightly shorter than my bed frame which the other were not, which really isnt a big problem.

The matress seems to be fine however I have observations about how my order was managed. I placed the order on 23 November and was told - without explanation - that the delivery date would be 20 December. Is there always a 4 week delivery time on your products? I needed to be at a funeral on 20 December and phoned the local showroom to find out whether the delivery time would enable me to attend the funeral. I was astonished to learn that a specific 2 hour delivery slot would cost me 40.I had paid for the mattress in full on 23 November - the company had had my money for four weeks and yet I was being asked for more money. I'm loving my new Johnstone mattress. I purchased a double one after having a single in another rented flat. It's perfect for my bad back and pains. I didn't get to use it for longer than a year, so I can only hope that it will last (I saw some reviews of people claiming that it tends to become to change shape after using it for a very long time). For now it seemsvto me like a very good quality product. It provides a firmer support but the memory foam still moulds to the body especially when sleeping on the side. Unlike other firm - medium mattresses than I tried over the years, the Johnstone doesn't make you feel like you sleep on the floor. I'm finally having a good night rest.

Myself and my husband bought this mattress due to a house move and owning an embarrassingly old mattress. We were desperate for an upgrade and we werent disappointed with our Dreams experience. The sales advisor was helpful and content in making sure we got exactly what we wanted. As soon as we lay on the Johnstone mattress we knew it was the one for us. We've had this mattresses for about a month now and we're loving it! The OH is a very light sleeper and I'm an early starter myself so for a long time I'd always wake her up when getting up for work however now with this matress having individual pockets I can get up and she will stay sound'o The mattress it's self is on the harder side but in a good way its firm enough that you don't feel like you're on a inflatable but not so hard it feels like you're sleeping on the concrete! As you might say the "one in the middle" Super happy with the item and the sales people where fantastic and very understanding of our requirements!

A reasonably comfortable single mattress, bought as a guest bed. It is a single sided matress. It has a spring base with a memory foam top. Medium firmness. It is unexpectedly heavy for its size which makes moving it difficult. Each long side has two handles, none at the ends. It is slightly thicker than a normal mattress, so either a standard fitted bottom sheet is tight, or a tall one is a bit loose. It would be better if mattresses came in standard thicknesses to accommodate standard size fitted sheets. Overall, reasonable but perhaps rather expensive. If we had more time, i am not sure this would be my preferred choice.

We went into a dreams store to purchase this mattress, went on their test mattress thing which tells you which mattress you should have. It gave us medium mattresses as a choice but i found the memory foam layer made the medium mattresses too hard. This mattress was the perfect mattress as it was softer but with the memory foam later it makes it slightly firmer which my partner likes. When I say firm it isnt hard. I like the softest mattress in the shop but am very comfortable on this one. The other reviews worried me after we had actually tried it in the shop but I had nothing to worry about because it was perfect.

Our old mattress was a disaster area . Lumpy .uncomfortable and like a rollercoaster to try to sleep on ! Time to go to Dreams ! .. and what a Dream it was ! We tried The Johnson Pocket Sprung Mattress ..What a difference - it was so amazingly comfortable , soft fabrics, great pocket springs - with a memory foam topping . Firm enough to slide into bed and instantly feel supported and safe . We loved it ! We told the salesman in store what we were looking for and he immediately directed us to one of "Dreams" own brand mattresses. A little apprehensive of this we had a quick look around and went back to look at his initial suggestion. The mattress felt comfortable and seemed to suit our needs. I am so pleased I bought this mattress!! I have had the most comfortable nights sleep since purchasing, my back feels supported, the best consecutive nights sleep Ive had for years!! the right amount of firm with the added topper feel, I am very happy with my bed!!! :) you will see from the picture, my mattress is on the floor, thats because of the lock down and my frame ordered else where the factory is unfortunately closed. Bought a month ago, very happy with the mattress. It is described as firm but it has a soft top layer meaning you sink into the mattress where it holds you well. Me and my other half both love it, and it is perfect for side sleepers which we are. We used the Sleepmatch service and it was excellent, would recommend to anyone Buying a mattress is always an investment but this one is totally worth it. I felt a little anxious about buying a mattress without trying out in store first (I cannot drive after a stroke). It was delivered quickly and the old one taken away which made the process very easy. The mattress is super comfortable. Perfect for a side sleeper, not too hard nor too soft. As I tend to get very hot at night (menopausal) I wondered how I would find this mattress, I find it nice and cool. My current fitted sheets still could be used as the mattress is of a traditional height. I'm very pleased with process from ordering online to sleeping soundly. Perfect.

I have has my old mattress for 18 years and it was well and truly worn out and collapsing, but you get used to it. Since sleeping on this one, it took a few nights of getting used to, but it is now a revelation over the old one. Its flat, supportive and silent, you don't realise how bad the old one was. If and when I buy again, I'd probably take the advice of the machine you test on in the store and get a very firm, but didn't want to risk it and just bought a firm one. It is fine but maybe a little too soft for my 16 stones :-) it is still a very happy purchase however.

I suffered from terrible sciatica and spent a good few months researching for a new mattress. I needed one which wasn't too deep as being 5ft the pain is excruciating if my legs dangle . Nervously we purchased this one . It has literally changed my life ( dramatic but true) . In the few weeks we have used it my pain has gone . My wife and I tried the usual range of mattresses in the shop, and our opinion was Dreams own brand was very hard to beat in terms of comfort and cost. We have learned through experience, as we have bought a top-end Millbrook Bed on one occasion, not from Dreams, after being given the sales 'jibber jabber' on how long the quality would last. Well we barely got 5 years out of the thing before it had dipped in the middle! We do intend to replace our mattresses every 5 years though, since the cost is reasonable. Dreams is a perfect balance of price and quality.

We purchased this mattress for our eight year old daughter. Since moving into her new loft room, she has not come down during the night as she falls straight to sleep without any complaints. Working as nurse requires physical strength and stamina.After doing long day shift I usually suffer from back pain and difficulty in sleeping. I suffer with Complex PTSD and therefore I sleep on my own. Old mattress aggravated my old back injury and sleep was not the best. Never looked forwards to going to bed to be honest. The mattress was much softer and more comfortable in the dreams store when I tried it. Ive had my mattress for 15 days now and it is a lot firmer than I thought it would be from testing it in store. However, its still early days and it does seem to have softened a tiny bit since I first got it. Im hoping it will continue to soften as I dont like firm mattresses. Great service in store though, I bought mine from the Whitecity store in Manchester and they were lovely and really helpful

I bought this as our main mattress and also bought the Campbell as the spare room mattress. This mattress is far superior to the Campbell mattress in turns of comfort. Its listed as a firm mattress however the advisor in the store said that this used to be classed as a medium firm, which is why we chose it. I have to say it does feel more firm than the Campbell which is a medium but it's not as firm as some of the mattresses we tested in store. It's been perfect so far.

Im not sure what product I am reviewing here as the email has been sent with it listed as 'configurable'. Hopefully someone looks at these manually to fix this. We are loving our mattress so far. We are both side sleepers who like a firm pillow so this mattress suits us perfectly. The only thing we would prefer was if the edging was slightly firmer as if you roll close to the edge - as happens when your partner sees to sleep in the middle! - you can feel the mattress beginning to roll you off with your weight. Hasn't been a problem though, just something to be aware of and something I would expect with any mattress purchased.

Purchased this mattress back in late August, received second week of September and have not regretted my decision. I was due for a mattress change anyway and wanted to make sure I chose the right one to last me for the next few years. It's perfect for my sleep positions and so, so comfortable. On delivery one of the first benefits I noticed of my single mattress was the handles along the sides which made manipulation easy. This feature will be very useful when the mattress is rotated regularly to maintain condition. As always we had excellent advice and assistance from each member of staff we dealt with at Dreams. The mattress arrived when it was scheduled and the delivery guys were courteous and respectful of our home. Went for this combination mattress to replace an old sprung mattress. Decided to try a combination as I don't like the feeling of sinking into a memory foam mattress but can sometimes feel the springs on a traditional sprung mattress. Very pleased with it so far. It is very comfortable. It offers firm support for my back injury without feeling hard. It is a very thick mattress so need to buy new fitted sheets as my old ones don't stretch over it.

I purchased this after 3 failed mattress in a box experiences. I was able to lay on it in the shop and it felt just right, as Goldilocks once said. It had remained comfortable, no sagging or lumping. Its not overly hot but snug to your body. Im super pleased with it, especially as it is one of the cheaper mattresses on offer in the shop. Budget wasnt an issue for me but this beat all of the higher end brands. Chuffed to bits with it!

I am rather disappointed with this mattress, it is much firmer than expected. I tried a few mattresses in store and decided on this one because it has a memory foam topping which I thought would be softer. I had a budget and to me it was an expensive item even though on offer. It also had an unpleasant odour, I was unable to sleep on it for a week until the smell cleared. I have definitely not slept like log! (as the advert states)

Mattress is very soft and cushiony, but it also gives very good lower back support. For the first few nights I woke up with back pain because I wasn't used to the different type of sinking support I had on my previous bed, but then my posture slowly corrected a little bit. It's perfect for stomach sleepers - not so much for side sleepers. Delivery arrived on the agreed date and time, even though it was 4 weeks. Good job Dreams.

I Have gone through so many mattress spending over 2,000 on them and havent felt this comfortable until I tried out this in store so I had to get one!! Best value for what it is and it smashes the big names out the water! Very very comfortable and can actually have a good nights sleep!! I purchased this mattress a few weeks ago during a bout of terrible insomnia caused by a highly stressful period in my personal life. We selected this mattress as it was recommended following our Sleepmatch session in Dreams. It appealed as it had the layer of memory foam, which we were used to, along with the firmer pocket sprung support underneath. After a bad experience with a mattress in a box, this was the perfect antidote and we have both slept soundly on it since the first night. In the past I have bought mattresses from small local shops and 'mail order' companies. A mattress on the harder side which is ideal for my back, and the fact it has me.ory foam as well means when one moves the other is not disturbed. It is a bit deeper than our old mattress and again it is great to sit on and not drop too far, as we are getting older now, this really helps. Not the most expensive but by no means the cheapest, this was one of a few suggested by the great machine we used in store.

We purchased from the store at Retail World Gateshead. We were met by Andrew and he was great. Very helpful, approachable (even laughed at my jokes). Knowledgeable and nothing was a bother. Spend quite a bit of time trying different styles of mattress (there is such a huge range in there along with beds. I love these mattresses, really comfy and a great combination of spring and memory foam, they last forever too. I bought two king size originally for our bed and the guest room. Now the children have grown a bit, both have a king size bed and the existing mattresses. So we bought another divan with this mattress. It is so comfortable and the old ones are still like new - long life and very cost effective.

Changed my bed after a very very long time. I have to say this bed is comfortable and I am having a great nights sleep. Staff (Stanley) was very helpful and recommended I try out the sleep match in order to find the perfect mattress. I was shocked I needed the medium as I would have brought the form! Happy with my choice. The draws were a bit faulty on arrival but no big deal as dreams are replacing them.

This is a wonderful mattress. Supportive and really comfortable. I am a front sleeper and my husband is a side sleeper. Good value mattress and the comfort level was just right for me (medium). Got this for our guest room but due to a broken arm I have been sleeping on it (fidgety sleeping partner!). I am very impressed, my usual mattress is a Tempura. This is a very good value for money mattress. My only niggle (very minor) it that it would help if it had hand holds on the top and bottom not just the side.

Solid mattress, love it. Would recommend. I sleep well, and it has helped with my back pain. It really supports my back and shoulders. This is a medium firmness, however was recently changed from firm apparently. Good price for what you get and in a King size. The staff in the Lincoln store were extremely helpful and able to pinpoint what I was after quickly. The mattress itself is comfortable and is a massive improvement over my old one. Delivery staff were courteous, but did leave a mark on the wall when moving the mattress upstairs. Having to bag up the old mattress for collection is difficult to do when on your own, and was very cumbersome.

What can I say other than for someone who hasnt slept right in years this mattress is a godsend. Its absolutely perfect if you sleep in any direction. We sold our very expensive Tempur mattress because we kept overheating and finding it hard to turn because you just sink into the memory foam which makes turning to get comfortable very hard work. You cant go wrong with this bed imo.

Purchased a divan and mattress. Staff member was very helpful and knowledgeable. The bed is so comfortable and a good nights sleep is now a given instead of a rarity. Only problem we had was with delivery as the delivery team would not attempt to take the mattress upstairs due to possibility of damaging it due to low ceiling. We had no option than to use brute force.

Had this mattress for 2 weeks now and my sleep has changed for the better. My back, shoulders and hips do not hurt anywhere near as much as they did before on my old mattress. This mattress is fab... has pocket springs and foam so it adapts so well when my side & front sleeping position. It wasnt cheap, but I do not regret this purchase one bit! Money well spent!

It is a very good value for money mattress. No need to spend vast fortunes on comfort. It is great for back sufferers and especially side sleepers. Not had a bad nights sleep yet after a fortnight so very pleased. So to be honest I haven't been sleeping too well anyway. But I have found on the nights I do sleep through, I wake up feeling refreshed. But the biggest thing I've found is not feeling as stiff and achy in the morning. Took me a few nights to get use to the difference in the mattress we have to what we had, but it's a comfy mattress. This mattress is perfect for people who need to comprise on a firm and soft mattress. We needed to find something that sat in the middle and this was great for us. It's not too hard or too soft and is excellent quality. It's big and so do think about that when getting bedside tables, we had to upgrade our tables so they weren't dwarfed by the bed.

Unable to use the sleepmatch feature in store because that bed was too high, I relied on the recommendation by the assistant. Whilst it is a great quality mattress it is quite soft and not suitable for chronic back conditions like mine. After 24 night's sleep it has yet to fully adjust to my body, so I cannot use the comfort exchange service yet

I had this mattress in it's old version for 2 years and loved it. So when I moved into my own house I bought this upgraded version but in King Size and it's just the best. Pocket sprung means it reacts to your body movements but the built in foam topper just gives it that added level of comfy. It's a firm mattress but comfy just how I like it.

It's a lot to pay for a new mattress I thought nearly 3 times what my old one cost but Wow it's sorted all the issues I had with my old mattress (nearly 8 years old). Im not into full memory foam mattresses as I feel like youre just lying on a very firm surface and there is no spring to it. This is definitely the opposite..not too firm and not too soft either. This mattress is heavenly. It is firm, but the memory foam layer contours really nicely to your body. I received this mattress on 3rd of December and using it since then. The overall performance of this mattress is good except one drawback. The usable area of this double mattress is 10cm less from each side as it becomes round curve so as soon as you go on that area you will be sliding down to the floor.
