I will be reviewing the Saturn Metal Bunk Bed, a new frame from the retailer Dreams. This product mainly focuses on the mid-priced segment so you can expect a high-quality product that is built to last. The bunk features a sturdy metal frame in matte black, with durable metal slats that provide a solid foundation for your mattress and looks to be far more suitable for teenagers and grown children, as it does have a much more professional and grown up feel to it compared to other bunk beds available. The bed is designed with industrial-inspired squared finials, which add a touch of style and elegance to the overall look of the bed. One of the most unique features of this bed is that it can be converted into two single beds, making it a handy option for any bedroom that has the space to expand. The ladder can be fixed securely to either side, so you can customise the bed to fit your specific needs and ensure that the product will be suitable with existing room layouts.
The recommended age for this bed is officially 6+ but we still feel it would suit older children due to the stylish design. The weight limit agrees as it comes in at a limit of 100kg (including mattress weight). The bed is compatible with UK standard single mattresses, so you can easily find a mattress that fits the bed perfectly although you do need to be aware that the second level of the bed will need to conform to a specific mattress depth to remain safe.
Owners mostly describe a sturdy frame. One wrote that it "can cope well with children bouncing and jumping all over them", and another bought it for "oversized teenagers".
